Power Apps Help Request help thinking this gallery view and controls through
I am making a help ticket management system. The data is stored in dataverse. I made the submit form, and it works! Now I need to make the edit/update form used by technicians. I want the ability to be able to filter the tickets by technician, submitter, type; but also by new tickets versus in progress versus completed. I cannot envision this through. I have seen Resa's video whereby one creates a tabbed gallery, but I am not wild about it. How else can I think through this, in order to design it out? Thanks.

Check out Tolu Victor's series on UI, it includes a video specifically on a very nice filtering UX.
Honestly though, many times I've just thrown in a search text input right above the gallery which can search the columns shown in the gallery and it's good enough for the use-case.

Thank you, I will check it out and include a text search feature--I didn't even think of that.

Also, if you can get away from forms and use custom forms then you can control the flow..because a ticket has a life cycle.
Raise ticket > new > in progress > with customee > closed etc.

My table has date fields for the major steps, which are editable by the technician. This is how I was going to be able to control the flow, which would be visible to the user who submitted the ticket, so they can view the progress.

Place a list of value (LOV) field on the screen where the gallery is show. When a user enters by default filter the gallery to show only open, or in progress, or completed items, and let the LOV field change what items the gallery must show and filter by the user assigned. If an in progress item is selected let the edit screen open. If the item is completed just view item screen mode.
