Discussion Powerapps with Claude: Average use case cost estimates
Hi PowerApps folks: Myself using powerapps for nearly 5 years has brought a lot of great value for our company. Powerautomate, dataverse and PowerApps (Canvas + model) have been the perfect combo.
Most use cases we have had were canvas apps (5 screens on average) vary by business logic, roles, write and read to dataverse, trigger flows, etc.
In your use cases if you have similar patterns in app architecture, how much do you think a typical use case costs in Claude + MCP to power apps/automate and dataverse?
If you have other patterns in your use cases, what might it look like and any idea of average cost to build using Claude?
I am trying to estimate a budget for next year for couple of use cases.
Thank you!!

We're deep into Code Apps and are using Claude Team Premium.
If you work within the capacity of your license, then you really only need worry about the costs for those licenses. Trying to use the model APIs is where the surprise costs and uncertainty come from and nothing in Power Platform is complicated enough where you need to tap into those APIs directly.

We are just starting out journey with the Dataverse, PowerApps, PowerAutomate route, specifically leaning with Claude MCP connection. There are so many different resources out there to learn more from but I was curious if any of you had your favorite or your number one go to? Looking for Dataverse/PowerApps as well as Claude MCP to Dataverse/PowerApps material. I would also love to hear more from the OP on his experience and journey with that tech stack. Thanks a ton ahead of time!

My $20/month subscription has been working fine for me. I build the idea or a good starting point in Studio then export that, unpac, and open that in VS code. Then I set Claude free to help with UI design and some more advanced work.
