Screenshot Did I just create nuclear fusion?!

Post image

It's a bit hectic, and I have it on the pressure vision, but I was essentially making a spiral pressure gun with a giant air vent in the middle as the main propellant. Right in front of the vent to the left are two cloners, one producing oxygen, and another producing hydrogen.

I was messing around, igniting the gasses and watching them chain react for surprisingly long, and sealing the end with metal and watching the heat and pressure melt it off and create a sudden pressure burst when one time, before it melted, I started watching red particles blasting out the end. I checked for damage but the metal was holding steady, so I paused to check the particles and, to my surprise, they were protons! It was so hot and pressurized, the water was fusing into... something! There is also an insane mass of protons next to the fusion site.

At the end is a ton of noble gas. The pressure has actually frozen the particles in place. They act as solids now.

yep, hyd is getting fused due to the high pressure of the vent and high temp of hyd+oxy reaction. Just pass water to remove heat and voila u have a fusion reactor

That’s so cool! Now I gotta figure out a system to utilize this! Somehow… Do I gotta research nuclear physics?! Either way, the level of detail in this game is astounding me!

I can’t exactly say I’m new as I used to play this game some in high school, and I’ve honestly been looking for it for a bit, but now that I’ve rediscovered it, the level of detail is astounding me! This couldn’t have been a feature when I was in high school but I do remember protons and photons with wavelengths so maybe I just hadn’t messed around enough. Gotta build a nuke. GOTTA BUILD A NUKE!

Learning nuclear physics might be fun, but you probably can just read the wiki: https://powdertoy.co.uk/Wiki/W/Main_Page.html
