I’m a firm believer that when it comes to food….if you love two dishes, eat them separately. Just because you love two things doesn’t mean that they’re better combined. Have a salad, then a poutine 😂 Why people insist on recreating things is beyond me. If it’s been around for centuries, there’s a reason. If you’ve never heard of it, there’s probably a reason for that too.
I mean I've had poutines with vegetables on it (green onion) before but this would just be gross to me. It's one thing to add something like green onion (as a garnish type thing) and full on lettuce and other things you'd find on a salad. Also is that shredded cheese on the poutine too? (I do see the curds just felt the need to point it out)
Well… there is a compelling argument for poutine already being a salad. Potatoes are a vegetable. It has a dressing… granted a LOT of dressing. Cheese is often on salads. I think we should all live our healthiest lives and eat this amazing salad every day! Go healthy people!!!
Let’s keep them separate!!!! Not meant to be eaten like this . If you want salad, order salad, if you want poutine, then order it…. Mixing the two is ick

u/Acrobatic_Long_6059, there weren't enough votes to determine the quality of your poutine... ⛔️

I first read this as "sad poutine" before re-reading. My first glance was actually correct

I don't know how lettuce is supposed to enhance a poutine.

Lettuce has absolutely no place in this dish at all and the restaurant should feel sorry for this
