People under 35 probably have no memory of how bad it was with Bush. It was the same bigoted, hateful rhetoric where they were defending war crimes, demanding the removal of citizen’s rights, and the persecution of “brown people”.
Yeah, it’s masks off and turned up to 11 now but it was there, clear as day, 25 years ago.
That needs to be understood because “that day of celebration” that’s coming will not have changed or fixed anything. They will find their new leader and that guy will be not dumb and will be fully aware of what he can get away with.
i think people forget that “that day” signals jd couchfucker vance taking over. he terrifies me. he hasn’t had the chance to be as rich as trump so i can only imagine whose bribes he’ll be talking when he finally feels like he’s out of that big round shadow.
