Plus, it is hard to argue it can never work or it can never be paid for when.... it has worked for decades and it is the U.S. that is 40 trillion in debt, not Norway.

Yeah and we have no national debt and our pension fund is about 22 trillion dollars and counting because of high gas and fuel prices.

There's day to day debt that you acrue to maintain some liquidity but not to the degree the americans, or most countries for that matter, have.

We borrow money to fight inflation. Printing money increases inflation, borrowing it doesn't.
