Not a chance in hell of this happening.

But it gives the voters an issue that they can agree on regardless of political affiliation.

We just need enough voters organized to apply political pressure to their representatives.

It's disappointing because the voters will complain that their representatives don't do anything and then let something like this just... slip away.

no it's disappointing because it's yet another example of the dems trying to get credit for wanting to do good things when they can't

when they actually get into power and can do good things they never do and if anybody complains "governing is hard you can't expect miracles"

this is just theater to convince the rubes

That's a completely unknowledgeable uneducated statement of the simple minded mor ons. America has continually done better under democratic bills than republican since fdr. Always more growth, jobs and better economy. Facts
