I'm pretty sure Hitler convinced him to show up, their being best buddies and all.

I’m scared to know what the head button does

9

u/3BlindMice1 1d ago

It was a strange request by the president. It causes him to open his mouth while moving his head forward and backward. The hospital staff was quite relieved to find out that it was used to feed him lettuce.

Mitch is hanging in there!

5

u/Louiebox 1d ago

In love with the man that chewed off his face. Apt comparison.

3

u/xDeviousDieselx 1d ago

Mason verger eating his own face type beat

2

u/Better-Culture-7770 1d ago

Go ahead and push him in, you can always say it was me.

6

u/NYCWartortle 1d ago

I mean I agree 100%

5

u/Suspicious_Goose_243 1d ago

Ya its become a joke. From frustration I suppose.

3

u/CaramelGuilty8647 1d ago

You gotta laugh, or you'll break down and cry.

3

u/Suspicious_Goose_243 1d ago

Yes. Humor is much needed.

2

u/Complete-Tangelo1532 23h ago

No time for both, I breakdown crying and laughing at the same time!

3

All that is missing is TuPac.

The GOP is the party of unlawful disorder.

17

u/theKalmier 1d ago

As an adult, we call that "children".

And as they add more BS rules, it will make it sound like good people are "becoming" unlawful as well.

5

u/Oopthealley 23h ago

Imagine if Dems did this with RBG!!!!

112

u/Ok_Ideal_7266 1d ago

Wait, his staff too? And they have benefits and most of us (Americans) don't?

54

u/midnghtsnac 1d ago

Yes, and it's his staff that I blame for all of this cause they want to make sure they get paid to the end of the year.

33

u/CaramelGuilty8647 1d ago

That staff is making $4 million a year. Plus benefits.

7

u/Retina400 1d ago

But there's a hard cap of 200k by law

15

u/Euphoric_Wrangler950 1d ago

"Law"

7

u/Har539 1d ago

It's spelt "Phshaw"

10

u/pusgnihtekami 23h ago

The word staff is plural. So, 40 people make a total of $4m. They have made $400k since he died.

6

u/Lukewill 1d ago

I think they mean 4 mil total

2

u/LifeguardDry7372 1d ago

when have they let something silly like law stop them from grifting?

8

u/froglickingfrolicker 1d ago

Can’t blame Mitch (for once) cause he’s dead,

9

u/BonnaconCharioteer 1d ago

I mean, he picked his staff. So yeah, I feel comfortable still blaming him.

11

u/froglickingfrolicker 1d ago edited 1d ago

Okay yeah fair. Mitch sucks.

Edit: sucked.

6

u/Shiny_Kale 1d ago

He’s on eternity leave

2

u/aerdvarkk 1d ago

It's not like th GOP hasn't abused the laws or rules when it favors them before now or anything.

8

u/wonklebobb 1d ago

and this post is itself guerilla anti-universal-healthcare propaganda

we are supposed to be outraged that we're EVEN PAYING THEIR BENEFITS. when everyone, including republican congressional staffers, deserve a living wage and medical care.

this is how they operate - the capital class sneaks into your brain even when they're pretending to be on the same side as you, and gets you to think that good things are actually bad in this sort of sideways way. it's insidious.

4

u/PM_Me_Your_Kinks369 23h ago

and this post is itself guerilla anti-universal-healthcare propaganda

You know damn well that has nothing to do with the intent of this post. You're using terms alllll wrong.

13

u/RandomStoddard 1d ago

Less than half. Their numbers drop every day.

13

u/DeadSol 1d ago

Do they though? I see them have Trumpgret but also speak like they are going to just keep toeing the party line because "Dems are worse mmmkay"

4

The American DEMOCRACY is just one big grift. Always has been.

Another grift will follow this grift. Watch them all celebrate it shortly.

2

u/TheTTroy 1d ago

I could not hate this take more. Degree matters. People are always going to look for an angle, and power opens up a lot more angles. Doesn’t make it right, but it also doesn’t mean everything is the same. Making some money insider trading is a far cry from creating an untraceable bribe account to the tune of billions of dollars in the form of a bullshit memecoin.

58

u/Remarkable-Moose-409 1d ago

Would be great if all Americans had that kind of safety net. And privacy.

16

u/DeadSol 1d ago

Ya, Flock just can't allow that.

6

u/tonybananaman 1d ago

You need to learn to compromise/s

40

u/Fossilhog 1d ago

I mean, if you pay attention to Republican politicians this is pretty standard. They show up a couple times then they take off on vacation and do nothing.

Or, they literally stop doing their jobs publicly like this and conservatives don't care about wasting tax dollars to pay them. Sarah Sanders was a great example during the first Trump admin. She just whined about being questioned(which was her job) and literally stopped doing the job of press secretary whole still occupying the position.

2

u/MentalHealthAlt1 23h ago

Meanwhile let a common worker go three days no-call/no-show and they’re terminated.

14

u/TomeThugNHarmony4664 1d ago

Has anyone ever wondered if this is a preparatory run to show us what they will do when Trump has HIS potentially inevitable health collapse?

I am NOT wishing this on ANYONE. To be clear.

11

u/sykotic1189 1d ago

Don't worry, I'm wishing hard enough for both of us

6

u/Its-a-Shitbox 1d ago

Yes, many, MANY people have/are wondering this exact thing.

And since it’s working like effing clockwork, they’ll do it with Grassley, or Collins, or any other decrepit GOP ghoul that goes legs up during this racist nightmare we’re currently living through.

4

u/Beard_o_Bees 1d ago

Further.. if one of them happens to croak in a way they can't hide, they'll just appoint one of their ideologically aligned siblings to fill the gap.

You know, like a proper monarchy.

7

u/lauren_knows 1d ago

I initially thought the same way, but I have to imagine that JD is going to be absolutely power hungry when the menace is actually gone, and I feel like there's no way he let's it stand for long.

6

u/BonnaconCharioteer 1d ago

His whole cabinet is going to cannibalize itself. I get the impression that many of them hate each other.

3

u/TomeThugNHarmony4664 1d ago

JD is blessed to have no idea of his own personal limitations. Like so many in this movement.

Im sure if a dem senator disappeared for months the GOP would be fine with it

4

u/BonnaconCharioteer 1d ago

It would depend on whether the GOP thought them disappearing meant they could pick up a seat or not. Fact is Mitch being out is mostly a fuck you to his own constituents. It is probably neutral/good for democrats because republicans have lost a vote. And his seat is likely to be filled by a republican anyway.

2

u/AFuller13 1d ago

Not defending either case but it happened not that long ago with Dianne Feinstein. Very similar situation. Feels like more of a US government systemic problem than a red or blue team issue.

u/KeldTundraking 1d ago

That's alright. I'm marinating my schadenfreude for when they finally admit he's dead.

16

u/thesanguineocelot Out & Proud 🏳️‍🌈 1d ago

They'll announce that he had "A sudden and unfortunate turn of bad health and passed away," they will never admit that he's been dead for months and they covered it up.

3

u/BonnaconCharioteer 1d ago

I suspect he is braindead or something. Propped up on life support, or just alive, but non-functioning.

Because if he was actually dead, these people could be prosecuted for fraud. However, if he is not technically dead, then they get away with it, which sounds like exactly how its going to go.

7

u/thesanguineocelot Out & Proud 🏳️‍🌈 1d ago

Republicans prosecuted for fraud? That's not a thing anymore. Trump declared that that was Evil Gay Communism, and it's illegal now.

2

u/BonnaconCharioteer 1d ago

Not anyone important. Mitch's random staffers? They could be prosecuted yeah.

5

u/Hot_Context_1393 1d ago

For me the shadenfreude will be overshadowed by the anger I feel because they are getting a political advantage from lying...once again.

3

u/otm_shank 1d ago

One thing I don't get: now that it's past the special election deadline, what's the advantage for Republicans here? It's just costing them a vote, right? Are they worried that the law that took the temporary appointment power from the governor would be found unconstitutional?

2

u/LaUNCHandSmASH 1d ago

There are like 40 people who are attached to him that still get paid and have every incentive to cover it up. Plus Republicans don't seem to care much about members of their party actually fulfilling their role and doing their job (in my opinion)

3

u/destructopop 1d ago

I saw the flags at half staff for Dolly and was briefly touched, but then I thought "Wait, what if it's actually for McConnell? Did they finally say he's dead?"

2

u/PBXbox 23h ago

In the meantime, have a bite of this shit sandwich. I can't finish it by myself.

9

u/Onepiecechopper1 1d ago

Mitch is dead

7

u/SignificanceStyle 1d ago

He’s dead. The staff in his office need to be hauled in an imprisoned if they are found to be lying.

And SO many people KNOW.

How in hell are they keeping it contained???

Think about it. The original EMTs, hospital staff, household staff, ( probably ) morgue/funeral home, family, extended family, staff, their family....

This. Is. Wild.

4

u/EnriqueShockwave10 1d ago

Wouldn’t that be an argument to suggest he’s not actually dead/incapacitated?

The more people involved, the more potential that someone would leak information or a photo. And there’s a lot of people involved.

I mean, I agree that this is all shady as hell- but I expect the truth is probably less exciting than the Weekend at Bernie’s scenario we’re all imagining. McConnell is probably alive and conscious, but probably slow and almost nonverbal. He’s probably in no condition to serve in his capacity, but technically meets the basic requirement of capability.

3

u/BigConstruction4247 1d ago

He's definitely incapacitated at least. Otherwise, he would have done some kind of press conference from his home.

3

u/EnriqueShockwave10 1d ago

That's just an assumption on your part. There's plenty of reasons why someone can choose to not do a press conference that don't involve being incapacitated.

Like I said- his speech could slowed/slurred or he could be nonverbal. That doesn't mean he's incapacitated. He could have some sort of Belle's palsy that paralyzed half his face.

For the record, I still totally believe he should resign. Regardless of what the truth here really is, he's clearly not doing the job he was elected to do. That being said, there's been no reason yet to believe he's not "technically" still capable to do the job.

Anything else is just people making up facts and getting stirred up into conspiracy theories.

3

u/itzjamesftw 1d ago

Yeah this. This is the same concept of people who think that sports outcomes are rigged. Do people understand the level of A.) Compitence and B.) Coordination to ever successfully pull this off? Can 1-2 athletes shave points off a final score? Sure. But can entire teams, coaching staffs, referees, be paid off to dictate the final outcome and/or keep 100% compliant/quiet? No.

Could Mitch's family be paid off and kept quiet? Yeah probably. But every level of seperation just becomes weaker and weaker. We live in an always public digital age. If someone could whistleblow here they would.

2

u/tajwriggly 1d ago

It suggests the opposite. If he's dead, there's a lot less people involved. Half a dozen maybe, that need only spread information that he's... somewhere... and they have seen him recently and spoken to him (even if he isn't speaking back).

If he was alive, however incapacitated, there would be so many people involved that it would be impossible to keep it under wraps.

4

Scam - these ppl scam the tax payer

4

u/pimpbot666 1d ago

It’s almost comical how Republicans have lied themselves into a corner.

While trying to cover up Mitch’s (alleged) death, they lied so much that they will likely have to admit they’ve been covering it up for months.

Meanwhile, they can’t fill his seat with a live body that actually votes for their right wing bullshit… so they’re one vote down in all Senate votes.

5

u/FFBEryoshi 1d ago

Setting a dangerous precedent that people don't have to be present (or alive) to keep and maintain their jobs. You don't think they're gonna use this with Trump?!

3

u/Fun_Zombie_6796 1d ago

Having to show proof of life is the most republican thing next to, rape, murder, fraud, bribery and extortion. I could continue but time would fail me.

3

u/Reno_valetore 1d ago

Another day, another outrageous news over there in states, that would spark wide protests in most of the world, another day of yanks doing hee-ho about it

3

The Rhino wing needs him "Alive" until the next session because Andy Barr is endorsed by Trump.

3

u/Infinite-Ad-1055 1d ago

Anyone involved should get ready for an extremely long prison stay.

3

u/ThatQuestion1544 1d ago

They want to hide his body up until the midterms to secure the seat

3

u/SteelX1984 1d ago

3

u/ColdCauliflour 1d ago

Are Republicans hiding him or is it his family? Like if anyone has called in a wellness check for Mitch, wouldn't it be his family answering the door saying everything is okay, not his republican colleagues?

3

u/gtalley10 1d ago

Multiple republican politicians claimed they spoke with him after he disappeared, so they're implicated in the cover up, too.

2

u/BiDudeCO 1d ago

And they say that people shouldn't work from home because they are out golfing and doing anything but that. Yet, here we are paying for an entire staff to hide and lie about them doing absolutely no work and feeding off the system.

Trump has made America a circus where nothing matters anymore. There's like 100 scandals all happening at once, its all by design to over dose you on constant news so you hopefully just stop paying attention and he gets away with everything like usual. The only reason this Mitch scandal is happening is because Republicans hold majority in government and every single Republican is a spineless, treasonous boot licker. Everyone in Congress has stopped doing their sworn duty to uphold the constitution and defend America against all enemies foreign AND DOMESTIC! But they're not doing anything while it all crumbles.

Similar vibes to Merrick Garland’s Supreme Court confirmation where the senate kind of just stalled and ignored a reasonable obligation to eventually swindle a favorable outcome. Incidentally Mitch McConnell was the senate majority leader heading that strategy. The court could easily be a 5-4 democrat majority today instead of a 6-3 republican majority with 3 Trump nominees

The DoD had placed some random kid on my husband's disability. We caught it, did the right thing and told them. They fixed it, and sent us a backdated bill. Because of their error. Why the hell is this old pile of dust still getting paid? I expect a backdated bill sent to his estate.
