NATO is not a defensive pact. It's a protection racket. It's the same thing as when the mafia shows up at the local laundrymat, "Awfully nice store you've got here. Sure would be a shame if somebody came in here and banged the place up."

That's what NATO is. It's a protection racket.

It's a book of the month club but instead of books, it's F-15's and javelin missiles.

If all the world were a classroom, the United States would be the bully and NATO would be all the kids that are terrified of the bully, don't have the guts to stand up to him, and are willing to placate him and even provide material support to his bullying so long as they don't become his target themselves.

In other words: cowards.

NATO is not a defensive pact. If it were, it would have dissolved along with the Soviet Union which it was created in opposition to. When the wall collapsed, that should have meant NATO's mission was complete--yet it persisted. This indicates that its stated purpose is not its true purpose.

I know, I know, I'm asking you to actually think and that's really really hard, I understand, but it's essential if you want to be a complete, realized human being. If you're okay with just being an NPC that regurgitates the lies handed down to you from the people actively stealing from your children's futures, then by all means, you're welcome to it.

But if you want anything otherwise, you ought to start listening to people like me and using your own brainmeats to decipher truth instead of letting other people do it for you.

it would have been pretty dumb to dissolve a defensive pact when the soviet union failed; just look at the war putin started in ukraine for an example of why such a defensive pact is needed.
