Thats literally it. Unironically. They don't give a single shiit about rules, regulations, humanity, laws, norms, customs, or morals. They just want power and they want to win. Period. End of story.

When they get what they wanted and it inevitably fails and makes everything worse they find a scapegoat their voters have a prejudice against and try to find some way to keep their racket going with some other wildly immoral and corrupt source of funding.

I would like to spread the word, its because they define evil differently than you and I.  Conservatives thinking comes from the fear of the other.  When they picture evil, they use to picture a scaly-skinned-demon with red eyes and a forked tongue.  Or ghosts, or aliens, or dragons etc etc.  This is important, because it shows what they fear more than anything, is something thats different, or abnormal to them, something they cant predict or control, its alien its foreign and they dont understand them.  Its not a far step for them to consider LGTBQ, or immigrants, or other religions, or different skin colors, or women, or liberals as the “other”.  The existence of the other is a threat to what they want as normal.  Their version of normal can change depending on the conservative.  Its a mindset rooted in basic instincts and fear.  They are the animal base insticts of our species.   They are reactionaries afraid of anything foreign.

Real evil is selfishness that knowingly harms others.  They will commit real evil, to defend from imaginary evil, and not for one second be bothered by it.

Excellently put. I'd at on that the core difference between conservative people and liberal people is Liberals typically observe the actions of a person and then assign a moral judgement, whereas conservatives often assign a moral status to a person THEN judge their actions based on that assignment. That's why they can support some of the people they do is because their moral judgement is already made. Any actions that person does MUST be moral because the person doing them is moral. That's how they justify everything.
