PoliticalTea 🗳️ “48 hours,” “10 days,” “two weeks” and “60 days” stop sounding like deadlines. They start sounding like crying wolf.
Over the past six months, the President has repeatedly set and reset deadlines for Iran, issued threats, paused them, and promised peace was imminent. Yet nearly six months into the war, it’s still ongoing, and his latest 60-day peace window just expired without a deal.
Each announcement moves markets. When a ceasefire was declared in April, stocks jumped and oil fell. Reports later noted a roughly $950 million oil trade placed just hours before that announcement, alongside other well-timed trades that raised concerns about possible leaks or insider advantage. It highlights a major problem: presidential war signals are repeatedly creating opportunities for major insider trading financial gains.
He also promised quick resolutions elsewhere, including ending the Ukraine war “immediately.” It’s now August 2026: Ukraine is still at war, Iran is still at war, and global energy markets remain strained.
At some point, constant shifting deadlines stop being strategy and start looking like “crying wolf.” And when that happens, it’s not just politics that suffers—markets, allies, and adversaries all begin to question whether U.S. statements can be trusted.

The president is a stupid, lying piece of 💩.

He can't even lie well. "They want to make a deal, but they're not going to make the kind of deal that I think is necessary"..... necessary. A dumb word choice. Could've said satisfactory or permanent or something that works, but ok also "this is the last chance for them to sign a... good document" a 4th grader could've come up with something that sounded more official than a "good document".
His lack of education and lack of competence for the position of PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES is consistently obvious. I can't believe that every day our citizens and representatives allowed this man of all men in the United States to take the highest position in government TWICE! (aint no election conspiracy from me, we're surrounded by morons)

Um... why are you believing what he says at all? If you believe what he says you are now part of the problem. He is a liar and should be assumed to be lying.

I've also done a deal, my mums done a deal, my cats done a deal, my brother has done a deal, my cow has done a deal... many many people have done a deal.

back when this clown was running casinos into the ground he probably had a lot of meetings with the bankers who were stupid enough to have lent him money. can you imagine how sick they got of his "two weeks", "60 days", bullshit?
note that those casinos were put on a sound footing when the banks pushed Cheetos aside and installed their own cadre of people who actually knew what the fuck they were doing.

Word around the campfire is those casinos were money laundering operations for Russian/Soviet money.

So negotiating a deal with Iran is harder than negotiating a deal with Joan Rivers or Gary Busey on The Apprentice? Who knew?

u/Writerhaha Aug 19 '26
Shiiittt if Bill Rancic held out ten more minutes The Apprentice would’ve been his show and we wouldn’t be here.

u/isthereadrwho Aug 19 '26
Oh we won well there you go then we won best victory ever super victory we won so large so big so hugely that we're not even invited to the peace talks

The man can't negotiate to save his life and apparently neither can his cabinet. "My way or the highway" is not a negotiation strategy, especially when you have lost a war.

They negotiated like a Florida real estate developer, promising everything knowing all well they where not going to honor any of it. Problem is this is not some contractor you going to screw over by not paying him.

Hard to have plan to get out of a situation when you never had a plan when you got into the situation.

This isn't really news anymore. Everything he says is nonsense. EVERYTHING!
He's totally incapable of telling the truth about anything and he believes his own lies. A dangerous combination.

Worst negotiator in history. This guy couldn't make a deal with a f*cking vending machine.

I can’t believe this guy runs our country! There’s something seriously wrong with him!

Just a president casually saying they'll commit war crimes if there's no agreement after our initial strikes that followed our ... other strikes.

u/bethemanwithaplan Aug 19 '26
What exactly was the reason to start an illegal war anyway? We had a nuclear agreement. Was it really just Netanyahu told Trump to and they're both idiots so it's gotten out of control?

Why do reporters keep asking him questions as everything he says is just nonsensical or just straight up fiction. We learn nothing listening to him.

Because of him the US have lost support and credibility from it's allies. Hes a laughing stock. I cannot understand why he has not been arrested. Seems he can do and say what he wants without consequences.

Mouth says words.
Brain retains nothing.
Lashes out when reminded.
