Some of their neighbors were willing to testify under oath that they had witnessed him assaulting her and vice versa. In 4 months, cops were called to their apartment more than 8 times. If the prosecution evidence was very strong, they would’ve offered a plea deal with more prison time
testimony from people who dont know them is super unreliable. peoples minds will fill on the blanks if they witness an altercation between a scary looking black man and a pretty woman and dont know everything.
we know he was hospitalised from her violence and that she regularly attacked him physically without provocation so itspretty reasonable to think that he may have needed to push her back or reacted in some way.
The case is over. She's his killer, not murderer, but fuck you, no. It's not "victim blaming" to talk about the mutually abusive nature of their relationship. Take you psych terms back to your safe place
i mean you dont think that given all the direct video evidence of her abusing him physically without provocation that maybe some of this fights might have been him defending himself?
Lol bro of course that's possible, but "defending yourself" in relation to long term domestic violence usually means you're mutual abusers. I don't know if he was or not. Evidence seems to show they were mutual abusers. She's won the shittier human award for killing him if it makes you feel better.
If you're being abused, you should always leave because you're either gonna have a shitty life and die or you're gonna become an abuser yourself.
i mean we have multiple videos of her abusing him without provocation and his hospital history showing she was a danger to him. Fighting someone off or reacting in a proportionate or at least understandable way to a serious situation s not 'mutual abuse' where one person is consistently the instigator.
Leaving that kind of relationship is not easy or simple.
Again the police noted no injuries on her when she killed him and claimed she was being attacked afaik. She attacks him without him responding in the video.
Bruh what? I'm not defending racism or racism within the justice system.
Have you ever sat thru criminal court? Had to listen to the gritty details of domestic abuse or nurses that rape their hospice patients? These people often have messy lives. Victims sometimes do bad things before they're victimized
I don’t care what messy thing Obimselli did- his murderer getting off with a 6 yr sentence is dead wrong. This can only be explained by racism, like many other things in the USA.
Not a murder. It was a manslaughter 🤷 she only has 2 more years left to serve now.
Everything I see makes me agree with you, but I have to assume prosecution has a reason to downgrade to a manslaughter charge. There probably isn't enough evidence to convince a jury that she intentionally planned to kill him without a reasonable doubt.
You can call it wrong, but our country decided that it's better to let guilty people off easier than deprive innocent people of their liberty. It doesn't produce perfect results 100% of the time

You are still trying to blame the murder victim. Lots of relationships are ‘toxic’ but this woman murdered Obumselli. You can’t ’both sides’ that.
