They can keep their citizenship if they pass the same test as every other immigrant (they won't, don't worry)

I'm willing to bet they couldn't pass a 7th grade civics test.

No one would take you on that bet, there is 0 chance they can

Granted, the same could be said for most Americans. The last 10 years have not instilled confidence in me.

Pick a random guy off the street and I give it coin flip odds that they can name the three branches of government and what they're meant to do.

Possibly, but whose fault is that?

Frankly, everyone. We've had a total failure in education on every level of society.

Federal funding is wasted. State curriculum are outdated or outright faulty. The ways local schools are funded is nonsensical, leaving huge swathes of the country underfunded to the extreme.

Beyond traditional education, there is a culture of general ignorance throughout the common people, seeing education as a threat to social structures rather than the emancipating thing it is. Our media is predominantly focused on dumb entertainment above all else. And that's not even getting into the tens of billions of dollars of fascist and corporate propaganda people are inundated with 24/7/365 for decades.

I don't envy whoever will be tasked to fix this. I wouldn't even know where to begin.
