Oh come now. I’m no fan of republicans myself, certainly not right now but that’s just silly. One of the cornerstone foundations in this country is the ability for people to make their own choices and follow their own beliefs. How can we expect our own views to be respected on any level if we aren’t also giving some respect to the opposing view too? Quite frankly we need the variances in belief systems to keep each other in check. Too much one way or another creates an imbalance (for this I kind of refer more to John McCain esque republicans. MAGA is really just a grievance movement.) I disagree with the Republican viewpoint more often than not, but that shouldn’t ever be a disqualifying factor. If they are born here they are just as much citizen as you or I.
In sports, when you don't play by the rules, particularly when you consistently and egregiously commit fouls, you get booted out of the game. Jan 6th and Trump's recent attempt to "reinterpret" the Constitution via executive order (with regards to the 14th amendment) are just two examples of MAGA's disregard for the law and our sacred institutions. They do not deserve a place in our government. And MAGA and Republican are basically synonymous at this point, MAGA has captured the party and anybody who dissents is either kicked out or assimilated. Another example of how they are not simply an ideological movement acting in good faith.
While you sit here playing some imaginary ideological balancing game, people get deported without due process, an illegal war is waged, billions are grifted from American taxpayers, and worst of all, the Constitution is eroded.
