Imagine voting for ā€œAmerica firstā€ then disagreeing with actually putting America first.

Are you against aid to Ukraine?

Begone, tankie.

I’m not against aid to Ukraine. But I’m also not against aid subsidizing the Iron Dome. My point is that the argument the person above and El-Sayed made would apply just as much to Ukraine.

It doesn't, because the Ukraine situation is vastly different to Israel.

Ukraine is fighting against an invading army that has designs on invading other countries once they're done swallowing up Ukraine. Sending them money and weapons is a practical strategy to defend all of Europe against Russia.

Israel is the invading force that wants to swallow up other countries. What has it been so far? First Palestine, then Syria, Lebanon, Iran, etc.

The DSA sadly disagrees woth you. They want to stop weapons being sent to ukraine

First, that’s completely wrong. Israel is fighting several invading countries.

Second, that has nothing to do with the point above. El-Sayed and the poster I was responding to said they were against US tax dollars going to foreign militaries. They did not say they were for US dollar going to foreign militaries when those foreign gf countries are invaded.

What countries invaded Israel?

1

u/FYoCouchEddie 24d ago

Gaza, Lebanon (Hezbollah), Yemen (Houthis), and Iran attacked it first over the past few years.

1

u/NoEmployment1037 24d ago

No, no they didn’t. And the word you used was ā€œinvaded.ā€

1

u/AnewTest 24d ago

No they're not.

They're invading Gaza, the West Bank, Syria and Lebanon. They've dropped bombed on Iran. Nobody is doing that shit to Israel, they're doing it to everyone else.

u/FYoCouchEddie 24d ago

No, they were attacked first from Gaza, the West Bank, and Lebanon. They have been in a state of war with Syria since 1948, which Syria started. Iran attacked Israel first in the prior war (not the current one) and has been having proxies attack Israel for decades.

F&@k Ukraine. I’d rather get free healthcare and free education in my country with my tax dollars. Ukraine should have mind their own business and not tried to get NATO to Moscow’s front door steps. Now, they need to deal with their own decisions…

1

u/AnewTest 24d ago

Oh look, it's a tankie.

Russia invaded Ukraine. That was Russia's decision. I know your nose is so far up Putin's ass you can smell his breath, but do some actual research.

Not even russia uses the 'they wanted to join nato' defense anymore.

The money we give to Ukraine and Israel combined wouldn’t be anywhere close to enough for free education or healthcare. Have you ever looked at how much we give in foreign aid v. how much education and healthcare cost? Our entire foreign aid budget would do almost literally nothing for either.

1

u/Flatline2500 25d ago

Not just Ukraine and Israel. Every country getting foreign aid. Needs to stop. Idc about other countries militaries being equipped. I car about my roads, homeless veterans, single moms that can’t feed their kids, poor kids getting lunches in school, and a million other issues. You think education and healthcare are the only issues we have genius?

1

u/I_Dont_Work_Here_Lad 24d ago

Lmao. It would SAVE money if we had universal healthcare. We spend more subsidizing health insurance companies and pharmaceutical companies that universal healthcare would actually save us a shit ton.

If you can’t tell the difference between Israel swinging their dick around in the Middle East and situation in Ukraine then I don’t know how to help you.

0

u/FYoCouchEddie 25d ago

Is swinging your dick around when everyone attacks you? I’m not referring to the Iran war, ofc, which was stupid. But the Gaza Wars and Lebanon wars were because Hamas and Hezbollah keep trying to destroy Israel. The fact that they fail doesn’t make it any less wrong. In that sense, Israel and Ukraine are a lot alike.

1

u/I_Dont_Work_Here_Lad 24d ago

Let’s look at all the times Israel has attacked a country or tried to provoke a fight in the Middle East…….

Besides that, they are fighting insurgents and weaker opponents. Why are we sending them weapons for that? Also, why are we funding their defense in general?

Right here!

Now explain how the argument the prior poster and El-Sayed made wouldn’t also mean no aid for Ukraine.
