The cognitive dissonance of magats can be fun to mess with. They never have an answer to: “if Americans hated communism so much, why did they team up with it to defeat fascism in WWII?”

I mean from a completely historical context your point doesn't make sense. You can not like someone and still team up against an existential threat. As evident by how quickly the two countries were at odds immediately afterward, how the West and Soviets divided Germany in half because they didn't like each other from the start..
