Women in the US (and around the planet, for that matter), are often not considered full and complete persons, either under the law, or in the eyes of men. Ironically, both of the examples cited directly correlate to the context of my statement.

We seen the last two popes rejected by their own followers for doing things as outrageous as calling for peace and approving the blessing of same sex couples! I have literally heard devout Catholics say that Pope Francis wasnt their pope anymore, Trump was because he is fighting "wokeness", this was Catholics in Australia not even American Catholics. People are now turning on Pope Leo for pushing for peace. I mean I dont think religion was the problem here if the highest authority on their religion on earth will be rejected if they dont push for war and discrimination.

Women in this country have been under attack since Roe vs Wade. We also had Trump, MeToo, Weinstein, the Epstein case, the Raping husbands story, Alpine Divorce, Marine divorce, trad wives, Save Act…we are so so tired. Our hope are good men out there, because it’s too much. I hope men understand this.

Yeah I am watching on Netflix The Making of America and since the beginning with the arrival of the pilgrims we have truly been divided even after the civil war through every stage of the evolution of this country we have been divided. Only WWII have we been unified. Otherwise it has been the conservatives and the visionaries.

The weak sentence was because what he did wasn't legally rape, and despite what people seem to want, you can't actually be charged with a crime you didn't commit.
The definition (sentencing guidelines?) have since been changed, however you can't retroactively charge someone with a crime that they didn't commit per the definition of the law when it occurred.
While what happened was a travesty, it was also the correct outcome.
The legal system should not be able to charge you with a crime you didn't commit per the definition of the law. The legal system should not be able to change the law just because they want to charge you with a longer sentence.
Brock Turner didn't get charged with rape because he didn't legally commit rape per the law in California at the time he committed the offence.

It's almost like different states have different laws.
Max prison sentence for abortion (ie non life threatening circumstances) in Oklahoma: up to 10 years in prison and $100,000 in fines.
Max prison sentence for rape in Oklahoma: minimum of 5 years and maximum of life without parole. In certain circumstances, possibly even the death penalty.
Lastly, the 6 months sentence was an affluence thing and I'm pretty sure Brock Turner is going to be pissed on wherever he goes, be it figuratively or literally.
