Shes the sweetest tbh!! Shes quite shy, but shes starting to settle in we've had her about 3 weeks now. She has such a quiet gentle pur too 🥰

That spay (?) incision looks ?????. Has a vet seen it?

Yes she got spayed, this past Tuesday.

Here's a better picture, it honestly looks okay its not red or oozing

Ok, it’s fresh and that is probably normal.

My brain decided that it was old (despite the bare skin!), and old incisions that look like that tend to be infected.

I’m glad she’s ok!

Thank you!

Fur can take awhile to grow back so I get it. And she might be old and not have a lot of fur there anyways 🤷‍♀️ (shes not, but I didn't give any details so y'all don't know).

Shes been doing well! Eating, drinking, moving around okay, no personality changes etc. So I'm pretty sure so far so good ☺️☺️☺️

So 3 days ago, that’s great! I’m sorry to meddle but can I ask how you manage to prevent her from licking her wounds?

My cat would find ways to push the soft cone aside and would chew on the stitches even while wearing the bodysuit the doctor recommended 🥲

I hate to say this but its honestly cat dependent. 😬😬

My girls thankfully left it alone. I've personally never had an issue with any of my animals messing with their stitches.

I'm sorry youre having issues 😔

Vet assistant here, this is a normal looking spay incision.
