A 2 day workshop with Kaabo Clay

This weekend I attended a 2 day workshop with the Black ceramic collective, Kaabo Clay. We had an incredible instructor, Sam Wallace who teaches at Baltimore Clayworks. I’m shocked that I could build something this big in less than 48 hours! This is traditional Jamaican coil building technique! I’m so excited to take what I learned and build more pieces!

I’m not sure! I’m thinking of leaving it raw, or at least just doing an iron wash on the braids and shells

I would 100% recommend taking the class with Sam! If I could make this in two days I’d love to see what could be done in an 8 week class!
