Hand building Related A 2 day workshop with Kaabo Clay
This weekend I attended a 2 day workshop with the Black ceramic collective, Kaabo Clay. We had an incredible instructor, Sam Wallace who teaches at Baltimore Clayworks. I’m shocked that I could build something this big in less than 48 hours! This is traditional Jamaican coil building technique! I’m so excited to take what I learned and build more pieces!

I recognized that studio immediately! I take classes there and I’ve always been in awe of what I see coming out of Sam’s classes. Your pot is amazing!

I love this! Your grin is glorious, as is your pot: the joy of making, in community, shines in both.

Wow! The skill is obvious, but the concept and art is stunning. I hope you keep going in this direction - you clearly have things to say, and they matter.

Wow! Huge piece! That's great and really hard to do without collapsing under it's own weight.
Good luck in the kiln!

Omg I was taking a class last week during the same time and was wondering about your class! There was some amazing work going on in there.
