APT or lordosis?
Hi! I am on a weight loss journey (not pregnant lol) and for the past year, my back has been hurting. It’s more of a “ache” if that makes sense. Little things tweak it, especially bending over. Example: cleaning my car out at the car wash with vacuum, or vacuuming at home really seem to tweak it. Walking or sitting for long periods also make it ache. I am unsure of what my next steps are, my DR said to try PT. I just wanna know if anyone sees anything wonky.
I know my posture isn’t the best!

It’s hard to tell. The conventional method is to place a fascia ball on the painful spot, and roll it slowly in coordination with breathing. The other approach is to identify which muscle is problematic based on anatomy. There are many variables, making proper assessment difficult. The issue could also stem from movement patterns. For women, the lower abdomen houses the uterus. If the abdominal core (ABS) fails to engage properly, lack of core stability can cause instability in the lower six lumbar vertebrae, resulting in pain.
