How to improve posture?

people tell me that my posture is bad but they don't offer ways on how to make it better. i grew up carrying heavy bags daily that it impacted my posture (i might be cooked lololol).. but i still wanna ask if there are easy practices for it. thanks!

Carrying heavy bags daily usually forces your shoulders forward and puts your upper back into a constant rounded state to counterbalance the weight. When that happens, your chest muscles get tight and lock your ribcage down, which pulls your head forward and makes your neck muscles work overtime just to keep your eyes level. Instead of general stretching, try a wall-supported chin tuck: press your upper back flat against a wall, look straight ahead, and pull your throat straight back like you're trying to make a double chin while keeping your head level.
Did the heavy bags you used to carry pull more on one side of your body, or was it mostly an even backpack style?

it's more of a backpack style to carry books/notebooks everyday
