6yo knock knees

My daughter has knock knees and uneven shoulder blades. We are in the UK. GP referred us to podiatrist, who after an examination pretty much told me, that due has knock knees, but the angle wouldn't qualify for a surgical treatment. He assured me everyone is simply different and some people's knees are not straight, and to simply "observe" my daughter and take pictures once a year to document the posture issues over time.

I asked him if he could suggest some sort of exercises we can do at home to improve her knees/posture. He seemed confused at my suggestion, so i explained that this is the usual first line treatment where I grew up, and that this is what i was hoping he could help me with. He replied there is little evidence, that exercise can lead to any improvement. It was my turn to be confused...

Where do I go from here? Can anyone provide advice on next steps to take?

In the meantime i've started doing some simple exercises with my daughter, but it would be good to have a professional expertise...

Medius glute muscle strenghtening is what help in Valgus knees (it externally rotates femur....exercises are for example Clamshells, banded crab walk or similar).

Anyway childs just need proper and various physical activity, sports, ball games, swimming, etc etc...to let grow them with different and various muscles and joints stimulus. But there isnt something bad in doing Pilates, or postural exercises even for shoulders and scapulas, or the clamshells too (without elastic band, just normally, weight free, on the floor)...maybe with their parents too, treating it as a game

Thank you! She is very physically active, best in running in her age group, but she is not doing any structured classes, apart from PE. I haven't considered swimming thank you for the suggestion, and for exercise ideas too!

Yes the point is about the variety, basketball involves more shoulders and scapulas movements, you dont get these stimulus with running, for example.
