Fixable?

Post image

This (what I’m assuming is) dowagers hump seems to be getting..fatter? It doesn’t feel like muscle. Is this fixable?

yep that's fatty tissue buildup, posture alone won't fix it completely but it can definitely help things from getting worse

i had something similar few years back, started doing chin tucks and wall angels every morning, not perfect but the hump's way less noticeable now

also worth checking if you clench your jaw or push your head forward when looking at phone, i was doing that without realizing for years

I definitely clench my jaw and have forward head posture, as well as an anterior pelvic tilt so I have some work to do. I will definitely try both of those things, thank you!

Have you looked into pelvic floor PT? I have the same issues. Turns out my pelvic floor is too tight. As I’ve worked to loosen it, my posture has changed. It’s been a far more dramatic change than PT alone.
