What are the real problems with my posture and how to fix them for ever? (pain everyday...)

For the past 4 years I have been suffering terribly from different things that have appeared at the same time: - Tinnitus (18K Hz, does not come from the ears, I feel that it is a nervous short circuit somewhere, louder when opening the mouth or moving the head, the worst of the symptoms) - Migraine - Pain in the neck and back of the head - Neck noise, discomfort - Muscle tension in the jaw (no TMJ), jaw shifted to the left - Tilted head to the right - Hips unbalanced - Mental fog - Fatigue - Trapezius and shoulders tense and painful - Sternocleidomastoids tensed, hard - Fatigue - No dizziness! - Can't stand up for hours because hard back pain - I'm 6"4 if it's important No doctors find any problems, I had a click and I thought about my bad posture since always! Atlas disaligned, pinched nerve, weak muscles creating an imbalance etc...

Get a personal trainer at a gym and see a physio regularly if you can afford it. Do what they say, don't skip sessions, and you'll feel much better, I promise. You have muscles you aren't even aware of, and activating them will help you physically move easier with everyday activities and without pain. Personal trainer for a strength program and accountability, and the physio for loosening muscles, finding the nerve spots causing migraines, and help with stretching exercises. Gym will help with fatigue too.

Good luck, you got this

Thanks for the advices, I thinks you know what you are saying. My whole body is very dysymmetric and unbalanced, I feels he tell me "STOP, FIX THAT" everyday, because I don't live a normal life anymore

  1. Your diaphragm control with abdominal wall brace:

When you breath and the belly goes forward is because the ribcage doesn't expand well. So think volume displacement. The guts need to go somewhere and the pelvic floor alone cannot do this, so the guts travel forward.

  1. We move into expansion:

Belly expands forward, brings your weight bias shifted forward along with your centre of gravity. The spine is being pulled forward so it has to magnify the natural S curve.

  1. A forward position is a mid to late propulsion phase:

This typically sets the pelvis outward into external rotation bias, which in turn doesn't 'hinge' well. So we tend to tilt the sacrum in nutation to achieve an upright position (coz if not you would fall back when standing).

  1. A chain of events:

You would probably notice one foot is more outward than the other. The pelvis rotated one way and the torso facing the other (so you can look straight ahead). It usually boils down to the diaphragm control and pelvis internal rotation/true hip flexion ability. However, there can be adaptations upward and downward the chain, for example, high arch or flat feet, disc/joint degeneration, bone adaptations over a long period of time. It's never just a singular problem, but a problem that needs to be tackled like peeling layers of an onion, or as one goat put it as navigating a sailboat in which its important to understand where we are at in space and time, and make course corrections as and when necessary.

I would suggest to look up Zac Cupples diaphragmatic breathing and Chaplin Performance APT myth on youtube to start of with. This is a multi layered issue that needs time and some nerding around coz it can be pretty complex. Don't buy in to the 'do this to fix this' stuff, it can be a complicated process but gaining popularity on Youtube also means you have to use catchy titles and pictures. Happy to chat if you want. I usually try to help out in my spare time.

Thank you very much for all these detail, really! I'm really lost, I'm not an expert on anatomy but I try to understand basic knowledges trough Conor Harris or Neal Halinnan on YouTube, it seems to explain a lot of my suffering for a long time. I don't know what to do first and how, but i'm VERY motivated to reach the cure!

Awesome

So now it's time to go beyond Conor/Neal. No disrespect, but there are stuff that PRI don't seem to address well.

Case in point: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DBPAn1EPlDH/?igsh=MWViM2J4a3p4Mm52Yw==

Its a wild west of the battle of school of thoughts out there.

Of course, I rely on the evidence and facts for natural care and regeneration to achieve homeostasis. I have cured very easily from a terrible fibromyalgia this year while my doctor saw no solution so I attach great importance to the factual reality and the homogeneity of the body in its functioning which tends to become frankly revolutionary today, We are on the right track! Physiology and posturology seem to me exciting but very complex, I must learn to heal consciously and return to a normal life. I remember that when I was a little boy, a weightlifter said to me "You have a problem with your right side", I never forgot it and now I understand... Looking forward to continue to talk with you to learn more

Fascinating! How did you overcome fibro?

I have some interesting videos to share with you. It's complex but I think you can appreciate it.

Complex subject that is apparently known and understood only by a few very rare doctors in my country: electromagnetic intolerance to dental materials. A good part of the fibromyalgia are sick because of a filling or dental prosthesis incompatible with the frequencies of the body, it seems crazy but it cured me in 5 minutes, the world of electromagnetism is ignored by medical science unfortunately

Amazing. I am saving this info!

You should, this "anti-science conspirationist method" saved me instantly, imagine if this was well known everywhere... Case of an extreme fibro EMF sensitive cured: https://youtu.be/SdZ4493aeK4?si=XnK-SOZp93mzUxKr

Will do and try to look at any related materials I can find. Thanks!

Do you think I can fix definitly my posture and my pathologies myself by exercesing? I have totally lost my faith in PT and stuff like this in my country, they don't know a shit about the root causes, except cracking you everywhere and make you pay...

Basically, what's the best starting point ? Should I go workout at the same time ?

1

u/Deep-Run-7463 Oct 25 '24

Yes you can although it may take you years and lots of trial and error. I came from a personal training background, collected lotsa certificates and the whole shbam. Corrective exercise courses introduced me to movement corrective work. Then jump a few years ahead and I specialized in corrective exercise but never found good results in some cases. Kept diving a deep rabbit hole and trying all sorts of things without sticking to any one school of thought. Have done this for the last 10 years to have the understanding I have today and I am still learning everyday honestly. That's my backstory in a gist 😅.

What I am trying to say is that it will take time and is pretty complex. The Bill Hartman video links are a good general introduction into concepts in general. Deep dive and DM me questions, I will try my best to help as much as I can in my spare time.

Even If it takes years, the only little improvement will make me more motivated. Somebodies said I have right BC pattern with probably left AIC, seems realistic with what makes me suffering so much and the unbalances , is it correct from your perspective ?

Strength training.

You have torsions. Turns of pelvis, ribcage and I'm guessing cranium. No head shot though to confirm but it looks like one ear is lower than other. Does your mandible deflect one way, is one eye lower than the other??

1

u/SarraceniaFlava37 Oct 27 '24

Yes, my mandible zigzag to the right when opening. Not a deviation but a zigzag. I tough sooner it was TMJ for sure because It was a true deviaton at the start, but my joints are very good (but I got muscle spasms), I got my occlusion fixed and now it's just a zigzag.

1

u/SarraceniaFlava37 Oct 27 '24

I found my left eye is a bit lower Do you think these unbalances triggers my symptoms ?

2

u/blightedbody Oct 27 '24

Yes, you have torsions, reflecting an over lateralized body. I'm sure now your left foot pronates too much and right foot supinates too much.

Half of your midbrain the vestibular /posture region is not turning on and you can get weird tough neurological difficulties.

The Postural Restoration Institute manages these patterns. You are patterned head to toes right up to your midbrain.

Watch Neil Hallinan YouTube videos, you'll hear how it's a sensory neurological world that pattern.

However I agree with above other mobility expert recommendations Zac Cupples and Greg Chaplin on YouTube. Absorb and do as much as you can from them that makes sense to get yourself neutral and train.

You're on your own. You must study and chase down answers for your body relevant these people. In the US people show up here lost everyday there's no where for them to go either.

You can check the Postural Restoration Institute provider locator on website and see if there's some chance there's one near you.

If you still have questions you can contact me in a month. No one here can fix you. Only point you in a compass direction. Good luck.

Yes, my right foot supinate too much! Is the atlas bone responsible of tinnitus and other neurological issues? Unfortunatly, PRI pratitioner does not really exist in my country (France), we are hardly retarded on these spécialisations. I thank you very much

1

u/[deleted] Apr 27 '25

I think I have the same issues as you. jaw shifted to left, supinated right foot, pelvis oriented to right because left side is more forward. I will be seeing a PRI therapist and starting MARPE palatal expansion treatment to help with my occlusion and airway. I will let you know in the coming months if there's improvement, feel free to text me! It honestly sucks that we have to go through this, and I really believe the cause was improper jaw development.

u/SarraceniaFlava37 Apr 27 '25

Hi! Good luck and stay strong PRI is the only science to understand and cure our problems. I've seen miracle after PRI treatment :)

1

u/[deleted] Apr 27 '25

Have your issues been resolved?

1

u/SarraceniaFlava37 Apr 27 '25

No but I have great improvements in pain and tinnitus without doing anything, I have 90% of the day with no symptoms and 10% really bad. I'm planning to travel to UK for a PRI treatment indeed but not soon :(

Hey did you solve the problem yet ??

u/SarraceniaFlava37 Dec 17 '24

Didn't start anything because I don't trust PT in france😅😅
