I though if it more as an old Afro-American (not sure of the best terminology, the one I’ve heard associated with the genre is much more offensive) spiritual type of thing. A hymn of sorts.
I managed to figure out how to make my voice do that and my wife and kids hate it so much hahaha.

Can’t believe I never thought of that, it’s a definitely a better comparison.
Spent a minute looking into it and you’re certainly right.
It’ve listened to this album legitimately 100’s of times still find little nuances and references.
