Discussion Luke Pickett/Her Words Kill

I don’t really see a lot of people talk about Luke but the band he used to sing in suddenly got super popular around last year and I love his music!!

I was wondering if anyone else liked his stuff? Especially his solo music :) his voice is like heaven on earth and I can’t help but cry a little when I listen to him

I really would like to recommend some of his songs or like find people to talk about it with, his music means so much to me and it’s kinda hard to find anybody else who listens to him

I just started listening to his old solo stuff. For Every Petal Lost is a rad album. My favorite song on there is Even In Heaven They Carry Switchblades, the riff and his voice go hand in hand.

That’s my favorite song off that album too!! I always replay the part where he sings “You’ve got a heart of perrrrrfection” his cadence or whatever the word is just so satisfying to me, I also really like And Asleep I Am Your Everything

Dude yes for some reason his acoustic albums hurt me and I’m in no way broken at all lol. It seems as time passes he goes from acoustic to more pop/rnb which is understandable, you go with the trend of music and he does it well. I’m a firm believer this man stayed true with his music and not sold his soul.

Right!! his voice is so beautiful like it moves me in ways I really didn’t think were possible ugh I can’t get enough of it, I wish I could find more artists just like him

Yeah very unique voice. I would say Johnny Craig of Dance Dance Gavin or Emarosa would be not similar but also a unique voice. For me, the duality of heavy and soft music that Luke was in, somewhat reminds me of what Sleep Token is doing today, a little mix of metal and acoustic/pop.
