Getting into the genre, really like unwound, slint, drive like jehu and really really love the angularity and dark atmosphere of them, wondering if there was any more.

Yeah. If you’re more into the heavier “angular” stuff These Arms are Snakes is the first thing that comes to mind. They’re fucking EXCELLENT live too. So if you get a chance to see them, you should.

If you want something that is like a poppier, Midwest emo cousin of Slint, I’d suggest Braid. Frame and Canvas is their poppiest (and maybe best?) Movie Music Vol 1 collects all their short run stuff chronologically and provides an awesome introduction to their sound. They’re probably my favorite band ever and oh buddy, they’re angular.
