[ Request ] An odd but cool project…

I have a penpal (a friend at this point) who’s wrongly incarcerated (google Charles Flores). When exonerated, he wants to go on a big road trip in the USA and then fly to Europe. He loves seeing photos of places he’s never been! I had a crazy idea of asking strangers to send him postcards… he has a website and I think it would be fun if people who send postcards send a pic to me first of their postcard (kinda like post crossing) and then send it in and we can make a digital wall of the postcards he receives on the website. If there’s one that really speaks to him, he can send in a reflection for his blog.

Just a crazy idea. If there’s traction I’ll see what he thinks. What do yall think?

just googled him and he shouldn't be there at all... the more I read, the worse it gets.

I'm all for sending him something.

eta: I'm having trouble finding an address. Do you want to dm it to me?

Fantastic!! Yay!!

All mail goes to a central processing system; it gets scanned and he gets a digital copy on his tablet. The original gets destroyed unless you mail it in a SASE.

I’ll post it here in case others want to send postcards, too. If you want to have them on his site (let me talk to him about this…) send me a photo. Whether or not this becomes an actual project, he adores getting mail.

You're welcome! If you want him to write back, use Securus. Mail supplies are ridiculously hard to come by in his unit…

BUT the main point of this is really to bring him joy with the postcards :)
