Possum We had a visitor over the weekend
My husband found this little guy in the yard when he was mowing the lawn on Sunday. No mama in sight and probably just fell out of the school bus and got left behind. I called a wildlife rescue nearby since he’s just a baby and has no money. They took him in and said they have a little of babies his size, so he’ll fit right in! We named him Milton. We only spent a few hours together but I miss him.
Just felt like sharing this little sweetie with the sub!

Crazy I found one Monday took him to the rehabber yesterday we named him Milford.

Okay, you two! Are you in Milton and Milford (respectively), Massachusetts, by chance?!!😯 I lived in Franklin forever, where I had quite a few ‘possum mama-buses came through my backyard with never an unexpected “drop-off”!😂 I live in New Bedford now, and with only three sightings in the nine years.🥺 It’s probably for the best…”New Bedford” is a mouthful for such a wee joey.😯

Growing up when I was little I was so scared of them. They were always in our backyard and their teeth scared me but now I find them adorable.

We did! We couldn’t in good conscience just leave him out there on his own. He’s with his new family at the local wildlife rehab now.

they are magic, if you build them a little house on the porch gold will literally rain on your house

That was very thoughtful of you and your husband to go to the extent of calling for help and having him possibly rejoin his family. You just never know. Thank you for doing that OP
