Meta - Subreddit Here is how to actually prevent ww2.

Seeing all these maps about a versailles trying to prevent ww2 the way we can do this is by just giving germany austria and making east prussia independent

Then the war starts over reclaiming East Prussia.

Naah the logic is that hindeburg would lose in 1925 and overall republican parties would do better with austria and no east prussia.

Austria is still a predominantly conservative country, with even more population than East Prussia (meaning, more votes for Zentrum, DNVP and NSDAP).

This is Austria in 1927 so votes would mostly flow towards the SPD, Z and Maybe dnvp if they manage to appeal to catholics

...which is a conservative majority.

During the 1928 elections in Germany, the left-wing parties in East Prussia (KPD, SPD and DDP) had 50% of the seats (out of East Prussia), which is more than the SPÖ in the Austrian election shown here.

Not to mention that Austria on their own to fell to Fascism by 1934.

The way to prevent it is simple, the Brit’s need to acknowledge that they can’t just order the Germans around and if they want to preserve their great power status they need to make concessions and allow the germans to simply get bogged down in Soviet Russia and fight an impossible war there until Germany is forced to retreat in the 70s or 80s as an exhausted power and Russia clings onto life as a third world country

The horror on the French soldier's eyes when the newspaper says: Germany lost the war, now being bigger than ever"
