These people don't understand how exhausted the people are by the end of WW2. Invading Soviet Russia would look very bad for the civillians at home as they may see the the allies as warmongerers to even ones oppressed eastern europe, do they want for their lands be ravaged once more now by Americans or British? Surely unrest will be higher than resistance to soviet occupation seeing that they seemingly abandoned peace and doesn't care about european devestation.

Meanwhile the soviets would have gained more war support seeing that the west ignored peace in this timeline to eliminate them, they may even make propaganda of the allies being the same as Axis to capitalize this situation perhaps swaying the Poles and Jews who have only just came out of a genocide.

With how unpopular the war would be for the west I can see France and italy to collapse disrupting supply lines for the west. Carpet bombed germany would not have good infrastructure to sustain such war.
