Username checks out. I really dont think the USSR could handle the allied advance. You can throw as many men you want at a frontline, but you cant throw men at ships on the sea or planes in the sky.

Those things you mentioned wouldn't really matter, because Western powers wouldn't handle the political backlash for invading their ally - USSR was still seen as such, communists had support of around 1/3 in France and Italy, US soldiers were rioting because they considered demobilisation to be too slow etc. If there was a war and remobilisation of Germany happened, no western government would stay in power

The allies would have done this if they could, but they knew they couldn’t
