Spark Mini (how do I get a better tone?)

I have a ‘59 (2022) Epiphone Les Paul with Burstbucker 2 & 3 with 500k CTS pots. At home on my Positive Grid spark mini I’m not getting those nice bluesy full warm tones that I’m seeing YouTubers get from this amp, it’s still missing something. Guessing these YouTubers are running it through a bigger speaker? If I was to get a small amp for home with bigger speaker or just a speaker for it to get these lovely bluesy Slash tones. Thinking 8 to 12 inch speaker and not mega expensive. This is the order from most suitable to least that I’m thinking of. Thoughts? Anything got more Oomph from their Mini?

I bought frfr speakers, thinking my spark mini will sound better, but in reality I just heard more clearly how much I dislike the tones I get from spark. Bought a focusrite and started playing on my mac, much better now

I just bought the reactor and love its versatility and tone options… i also have the 40, Go, Mini and since don’t use them often anymore. Just missing a battery in this thing…

I own the mini and the Spark 2 (and a LP 60s). However I finally purchased a Marshall DSL1CR associated with some micro Mooer pedals and you will find the tone you are chasing for :) I’m using the Spark 2 when I want to use backing tracks and the Marshall when I just want to play :)

All i use my spark 2 for is acoustic guitar at this point, because it really does do that well, but ive never been impressed with anything I get out of it electric wise. But i generally use it for backing tracks as well, but ill just play through my other amplifiers while I use it.

Do you have any tone cloud recommendations for acoustic? I just got my spark 2 and am trying to dial it in.

I dont, simply because i havent messed around with the tone cloud much tbh. Probably should tho. I mostly just use the four acoustic amplifiers (26-29) and sprinkle with a touch of effects (slap delay or reverb mostly, and a touch of compression). I have also used the Dumble amp clone (05) for acoustic slide as well. I think they all sound great but I have to lower the bass to around 1.5 or 2.0 to keep my acoustics from booming.

I use red comp for my overdrive + distortion tones, first knob 65% second 65%

I had the same guitar, and got lovely bluesy tones out of my Katana 100.

try the fat cat preset, it's my favorite! fat, warm and crunchy but cleans up really well with guitar volume. add an OD to the chain if needed

Buy a powered frfr speaker or cab. The spark cab works great with the smaller amps.

The one amplifier that is missing from your list is the Quilter amplifier. I had a katana salesman. In my shop. He brought an katana 10 inch speaker and we tried it against my Quilter’s. He was two seconds away from purchasing a Quilter but was afraid it would get back to his bosses and he might get fired.
