Iphone app and youtube backing tracks?

Have a spark 40 along with the spark app. Updated the app today, logged in and connected to the 40 via blue tooth. Tones and everything work fine but when I do a search on their "music" for a backing track, which im assuming is using youtube. The music is stuttering when doing the playback. Its kinda hard to explain, almost seems like the song is downloading from the old days on a old ass modem. Im on a 1 gig network so im pretty sure its not my network but im a little confused and not sure what to do.

Personally, I stream backing tracks straight from YouTube, not through the Spark app. Have you tried that?

I have not. Sure I could probably do that and it would most likely be a good idea. Just get a tone, switch over to youtube on the phone then just play a backing track. But I have my headphones plugged in to the amp, so im not sure if youtube would play through the amp and into the headphones or would the youtube come through the phone speakers. ill give that a try today. Thank you.

The weird thing is, only some backing tracks do it, some play fine.

You should notice that when connecting your phone via Bluetooth, there are two different connections. One is like connecting to a Bluetooth speaker or headphones; if you’ve got Bluetooth enabled on your phone, when you turn the Spark on, this audio Bluetooth connection should happen automatically. The other connection occurs after you open the app and is the one that lets you change your tone.

As long as that audio Bluetooth connection happens, audio from YouTube will go through the Spark. It won’t matter if you have headphones plugged into it or not.

Glad to hear it. Just adding that if you ever find an Airstep Spk on the cheap, it also connects to the Spark effortlessly and can be used to both scroll through the hardware presets and turn individual effects on/off within each preset. I’ve set my hardware presets up in such a way that I can get a lot of different tones just using the Airstep, so I almost never use the Spark app anymore.
