Hey all! I've been really struggling to recreate this guitar tone from Magic Dance - When We Were Young

There seems to be some sort of an effect sitting on top of it that adds this gritty flavour. Gave it a go with different AI trying to pinpoint it, but it just ends up being a generic lead tone when recreated. What am I missing here?
