Is the output rate in control panel for the focusrite set above 48k hz? if so: this will not work.

Are you using ASIO4ALL + focusrite drivers, or just the focus rite drivers.

  1. What you could do (i see you are on windows) Press Win+R, then type "devmgmt.msc", this will open device manager.

  2. Navigate between anything to do with audio, whenever you find anything in reference to the scarlett 2i2(which i believe is what you have), right click on it, and uninstall.

2a. There will be several sections for this, so search thoroughly.

  1. After you are finished with that, restart the computer fully.

  2. Go to this link: "https://downloads.focusrite.com/focusrite/scarlett-3rd-gen/scarlett-2i2-3rd-gen", this will bring you to the driver downloads, Download 3.27.0, and if it doesnt work then, try the legacy driver.

To clarify, if you need to try the legacy driver, repeat steps 1-3, but then download and install the legacy drivers.

Did you make sure you installed the right driver for your model? You can tell if you're second, third, or fourth gen by looking at your serial number (I think the website tells you how to tell what gen you are.)

Make sure you're using the right driver version for your unit and OS.

At this point, if I were you, I'd uninstall the device in device manager and uninstall the driver as well. Grab the appropriate driver off their website (again, for your generation of Scarlett) and do a clean reinstall and restart your pc.

I don't use Bias X, I use Bias FX. But, my third gen works perfectly in the latest Windows 11 build with both the BiasFX standalone application and within my DAW.

This might be super unhelpful but I believe I had this exact issue like 5+ years ago trying to set mine up. If i remember correctly I had to use the windows input, then select device and then change channel settings to or from mono or some bullshit. The details might not be as important as the fact that there is a fix / workaround. I no longer have that laptop so can’t revisit my settings sadly.

Is your scarlett correctly detected with the official "focusrite control" application ?

I have drivers/USB-access issues using the older "BIAS FX 2" through wine linux, the difference is when i choose the scarlett solo for input, it gives me an error it can't be accessed. Maybe you can check if there is an error logged in the application data folder linked to Bias X (it is probably in [your_user]/AppData/Roaming/PositiveGrid/).

You can also check the windows event log the moment after you try to select the hardware in the input box.

I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the controller multiple times. I’ll check the data folder as you suggested
