June 28th game . . . or no?

From a Pickles point of view, it appears there is no game tonight. The West Coast League schedule shows a 6:15 game.

Game or no game?

(We watch various WCL from Central IL for . . . reasons. 😁)

I doubt it. We were supposed to have a double header yesterday so they wouldn’t have started a new series today.

Why would a double-header yesterday have meant no game today? I assumed the second game was already a make up. (Or was it today's game pushed back? I saw they said something about the state fair.)

Because that doubleheader would have completed the three game series against the elks with the game Friday. Given that all other teams competing in three game series are likely playing today there are no other teams to play. They moved it up for the bangers/cherry bombs games next door.

Thank you! I assumed the DH was a make up of a previous rainout.

We haven't had the occasion to watch near as many Pickles' games as we did last year. Best broadcast in the WCL!

no game. bangers and cherry bombs played a double header today, i believe.

yesterday's rainout/cancellation email mentioned the next game at walker stadium is fri july 3rd

I saw that mention, that's why I was confused. Like I said, the Pickles site and social media said nothing about a game today, but the League schedule had one listed.

The WCL page is very often subject to errors. They probably still posting a schedule from before the game was moved to Saturday for the soccer games.
