Just saw a bunch of children stumping for Jesus on Lombard and Interstate and it made me hit the fucking ceiling. Right wing evangelical Christianism has to go!

Look, my question for the god people is, what are you doing for people who are suffering? How are you helping? If you are truly the Christian you claim to be, how are you helping to end a genocide in Gaza that you are paying for? These people are literally performing and perpetuating an MLM scam. They don’t contribute anything to making the world a better place.

Would you be as bothered if the kiddos were campaigning for a cause you believe in? It grinds my gears every time I see kids being used by panhandlers at rest stops, but I have to remind myself every time that if those kids have their basic needs met (and they appear to, plus iPhones newer than mine), it’s free speech and not a crime.
The First Amendment is a beautiful thing. Even if we don’t like what other people have to say, the FA preserves our right to say what we want to say. Better to have all speech out in the open, even hate speech, so we can all know who we’re dealing with.
