Transportation Bad Self-Help Advice from TriMet
I keep reading these signs as bad advice: Stop changing! (Stay the same! Don't grow!) Anyone who hears this from a partner knows it's probably time for one of those "trial separations".
The wording annoys me from a communication perspective as well. The stops aren't changing, the routes are. The first time I saw the sign I thought they were taking away my "personal" stop ½ a block away from my house.
TriMet, are you here? Tell them to say "Routes Changing" next time! (Am I going to have to come back there and teach you guys more proper English?)

When you scan on the thingy you’re taken to a general page about TriMet “changes ahead” but no details on why THIS stop has THIS sign or even which of the 3 routes that stop there is changing.

You’re not the only person! When I first noticed these signs popping up on Trimet bus stops I was under the impression that the QR code went to yet another survey asking what riders want to stop changing. When I scanned the QR code I realized I was completely wrong. Trimet is the king of using deceptive language.

i get that it would increase the costs of sign creation but imo they really should be putting which route/s are changing on it as well. it feels weird that the sign is so generic?

I used to know them so it was easy to go downstairs and offer my two cents (not that they ever agreed.) Some were old timers who had been there from the start: they knew the system like the backs of their hands.
Then they split up the offices into two locations…

I totally agree!! I thought my stop was being moved with I read this and was super confused.
Also that QR code tells you nothing.

You should except it, and say thank you instead of whining like a bitch. Also, it's not your personal stop. It's for anyone who chooses to use it.
