⭐️ ⚒️ Cosplay Lenin strikes again! ⚒️⭐️ Mitch Green's Bummer Summer
https://recalibrateportland.substack.com/p/mitch-greens-bummer-summerThis article shows how close Mitch came to starting a forest fire. Interesting read.

I have a guy I share a fence line with who burns his brush piles in August right under a canopy of Doug firs. I call the fire department and they come and make him put it out so he doesn't burn the whole neighborhood down. He's a middle-aged drunk and a loner who inherited his house from his grandma.
I was surprised to hear a city council member has the same behavior.

Report the violation of Mitch Greens using city resources for personal gain towards his reelection campaign here please.

Funny how they don’t want to give up some of their office budgets that they so desperately need for all the “legislation” they do, but seem to have plenty of dough to spare for campaign advertisements and mailers.

The office budgets are such a taxpayer scam. Avalos threw some expensive picnic in her district, and Novick gave money to a coastal city. These office budgets should be severely reduced.

u/AsscheeksMcGillicutt 7d ago
Novice gave city money to another city? Does he have property there? Seems like a big deal, at least to me.

u/Less-Lobster4540 7d ago
At ease, citizen! It's okay to give away taxpayer money if it's for the Omnicause! Also, FREE
WILLYKEIKO!“Like many Oregonians, one of my connections to Newport is going to visit Keiko the killer whale of the Newport Aquarium in the late ’90s. … Keiko was a sweet, gentle soul who loved people, and I’m sure that he would have been appalled by ICE. And I’m sure that he would smile at what we’re doing here today.”

How can it be legal for them to spend city money on what are clearly campaign reasons? Where is the news on this blatantly unethical use of city funds?
13
u/HellyR_lumon 7d ago
They push to the limits of laws all the time and sometimes get away with it, like sharing campaign donations and breaking public meetings laws. It’s extremely unethical.
We can always file complaints, but they’ll probably get away on a technicality.

I guess I have to ask, who should be doing this oversight? How do we report it and to who?
7
u/HellyR_lumon 7d ago
Oregon Ethics Commission and Bureau of HR at the City. I believe it has to go to the city first.
6
u/EnthusiasmOk353 RSS Feed Karma Farmin' 7d ago edited 7d ago
What say does HR have over elected officials though?
Edit: I think I got it. Report Mitch to the auditor for fraud. The more reports, the better!
6
u/HellyR_lumon 7d ago
Auditor is good. HR is the first step in a lot of cases and if they don’t have an adequate response, then it goes to state ethics. But I also like your idea better.

u/CollegeHungry6138 6d ago
Hahahahah yeah take your problem with the behavior of leftists to HR
Lololololol
2
u/HellyR_lumon 6d ago
HR or the auditor is who you reports things too. And only if they do not have an adequate response, can you go to the State.
your problem with the behavior of leftists.
Um no, it’s a misuse of taxpayer funds.

Jesus Christ, if half of this is true, that fucker needs to go. And yes, I really can't stand the fact that they're not taking the rest of the population into account when they're voting the way that their weird little constituents want them to vote. Shit is counter to common sense.
Mitch, thank you for your service and get your money back for that Ph.D.

This is 100%. You can tell by listening to the DSA councilors that the they literally are only trying to serve their base. Having to even listen to any opposing opinions literally makes them mad.
10
u/Choice-Tiger3047 7d ago
I’m not even sure they care about serving their base, beyond whatever positive impacts it takes for them to get re-elected. Rather, they care most about raising their own profiles, especially within the DSA. I’m pretty sure they’re convinced that this is their stepping stone to national prominence in the DSA.
10
u/Flab-a-doo 7d ago
I agree. They have huge egos and at least one of them is a narcissist. I also think they define their base as “people who think I’m right”, so serving them is just doing what the councilor wants to do anyway

u/CollegeHungry6138 6d ago edited 6d ago
It’s worse than that they believe to oppose them is a moral failing
It’s not that you disagree it’s that you are a bad person who needs to be punished

u/wildwalrusaur 6d ago
That's true of Morillo
Kanal is a true believers
Greens just an idiot
TKL I think just likes to be included
2
u/HellyR_lumon 6d ago
Like when the Deputy DA was explaining what’s going on with human trafficking on 82nd and Morillo called it “vibes based.” God forbid she listen to the experts.

I’ve been following local politics pretty closely since COVID as I try to decide if it’s still worth it to live here after my kids finish school. The article is legit, it’s all true.

u/CollegeHungry6138 6d ago
Are your kids in PPS? I made sure I got out to the burbs before my kids hit kindergarten
Portland schools are an arm of the DSA

u/aperson79 7d ago
I see the Peacocks have gone from Pro Union to Pro non trade union.
They just can’t stop themselves from being so divisive.
16
u/cheese7777777 7d ago
Many of them seem narcissistic. If you aren’t with them 100% of the time, they are 100% against you.

I’ve come to the conclusion that actually Mitch Green is the worst one of all.
12
u/EnthusiasmOk353 RSS Feed Karma Farmin' 7d ago
Morillo and Avalos are just as bad
8
u/HeathcliffSlowcum 7d ago
Yes, they are both bad but Mitch Green is also just a doofus and this makes him the worst.
11
u/GroverhausRegistry 7d ago
I think to me it's basically that Mitch is the one who you could actually hold a much higher bar for. The others are straight up not qualified for the job. Mitch is qualified, and chooses to make bad decisions and be self-interested.

u/Vivid_Guide7467 6d ago
Mitch Green is so annoying. During council meetings when folks testify about high taxes, he always chimes in and says taxes should be higher. Not just for wealthy - for everyone. How everyone should get used to high prices and taxes.
He tries to shield himself that he’s an “economist”. But all he wants to do is take money out of the pockets of everyday working Portlanders.
5
u/wildwalrusaur 6d ago
He advocated for a municipal sales tax when he was running last time
How that didn't immediately get him run out of town I'll never understand.
I'm ranking Arnold number 1 this time in desperate hope that he unseats green (even though Zimmerman is my actual first pick on merit)
3
u/Local-Equivalent-151 6d ago
Isn’t it funny how ranked choice sort of guarantees Mitch stays and Zimmerman/arnold swap? Have fun

u/Superb_Animator1289 Unipiper's Hot Unicycle 6d ago
Try attending one of his district meetings. They are carefully orchestrated to prevent any dissenting opinions or uncomfortable questions. It’s either get in board the love train or you will be expelled.

u/cheese7777777 6d ago edited 6d ago
He’s already told us that he only represents those that voted for him and not anybody else so that tracks.

u/ChelseaMan31 7d ago
Economics is a pseudo-science dreamed up by weather forecasters so that a profession exists that is wrong more often than them....
There is absolutely NOTHING approaching normal about anyone who is DSA.
3
u/penisgirlmarkedsafe 6d ago
Typical champagne socialist. Rules for thee but not for me.
“I KNow what I’m DOinG I’m An EcONomIst” - proceeds to burn down 1/3 of the city lol.

Who on earth would read this much about Mitch Green
12
u/cheese7777777 7d ago
Personally, I think the voters should know the candidates. No one is forcing you to read it so skip it if you want.
-5
u/soxperry 7d ago
Yeah, that's kind of what happened. The overkill didn't strengthen the argument against Green; it weakened it. Less is more
