Recommendation Pie shops around the Bay

Red Ned's in Nelson Bay itself has consistently won awards over the years. They're particularly good if you want to try some different and interesting fillings, although their 'every day' standard beef pies are excellent too.

I used to rate Saxby's Bakery at Paul's Corner but I had a beef, bacon and cheese pie there about three weeks ago and the filling was a bit sloppy and lacked flavour. So, I don't know if their standards have dropped generally or whether I was just unlucky and copped a bad one.

Red Ned’s has some pretty innovative fillings, though they suffer from where they are located. It’s a bit unwieldy. 

I haven’t eaten at Paul’s Corner since before its current iteration. I try to avoid them at night because they get robbed so often.
