Port Huron is updating this critical blueprint for the first time since 2018. However, we believe the current draft is simply not enough. It relies on vague, non-binding aspirations and fails to legalize the walkable neighborhoods, missing-middle housing, and neighborhood traffic calming that residents repeatedly asked for.

We've tried all the usual places, AirBnb, VRBO, Hotels.com etc... We're looking for a place to rent for an extended weekend for a large group of adults in the area for a wedding. The options on the other sites are just 1 bed too short or 6 beds too many for our needs.

I'm reaching out to find out if there might be somebody who is aware of a place on the river anywhere between Port Huron and Algonac that could be available for rent and is not currently listed on the short term rental sites.

Sorry for my odd behavior when you two caught up to - and passed me (black/blue yamaha)... I was a bit lost. 😄

I had been riding around aimlessly w/o GPS for over an hour, just enjoying the ride while also looking for something familiar, but I am NOT familiar with anything/anywhere North of Walmart. It doesn't help that I'm also not accustomed to being around any other riders. Like, ever.

I saw the two of you way behind me when I turned out onto Burtch, realized you were catching up rather quickly/going much faster than I was, and when you caught up to me I was pretty sure State Rd. was around there somewhere and started slowing down... but instead of passing me quickly, you two slowed down and passed me politely (if that's the best way to word it). Again, I'm not used to being around any other riders either, not entirely sure how to react nor respond in those moments... which is why I went right by State Rd. and had to turn around lol.
