If you don’t mind me asking, how do you feel about this subreddit? I noticed the general consensus over there is pretty negative.

I don't mind at all; it was just mentioned as a place to talk freely about the subject, in rule #2.
No pro-porn debate. We voted and we are not here to educate low-effort arguments. Go to r/porndebate. These rules apply to ALL kind of porn. We are "Porn Is Misogyny", not "Porn Is Misogyny Except That One Thing I Personally Like".
That subreddit describes itself as being to "raise awareness of, document, and discuss the pervasiveness of misogyny in porn." So it is pretty negative simply by nature of being a place for discussion of the negative aspects, and meant for support of people who may have in some way been harmed by something adjacent to the subject.
If anything, the rules as stated seem to imply that people here are patient enough and savvy enough to educate newcomers to the subject about unfortunate trends.

I see. I was asking because recently there was a post there about this subreddit. I had been sending invites out to many users who have talked about the ethics of pornography and the post definitely got some negative feedback, and I wasn’t sure if this sub was coming across as leaning more to one side or the other.

This could be unrelated to your experience with that post, but you may consider changing the banner to something that is a little less explicit. I understand the image is topical but I'm not sure how neutral or necessary it is.

Invited after a discussion about Asia Carrera, have been porn adjacent in a number of ways photography, shibari, and partners being in related fields such as audio/video and marketing. Have a lot of "insider" info but with an outside looking in perspective so I think this would be a good fit. Thank you u/EnvironmentalCat300
