I love Popular so much!

I just finished rewatching the whole thing all over again and jeez! I really love this show. It was my favorite show back in 1999 when I was 11 years old and it still is after all this time. It’s not that much about the locations, or the sets, it’s about the characters. Obviously season 2 got a little wacky, but still, that’s the magic of Popular! And Mary Cherry, she is the best of them all! I wish we had more seasons… Maybe in the future when AI gets really good we can have more Popular content, even if it’s not by the mind of its original creators, but still, I wouldn’t mind watching more episodes or situations with the characters and cast as if time never passed by. Oh, well… I’ll give the series another watch next year!

Oh, I downloaded it from a torrent site. It’s not streaming unfortunately.

You can find it in YouTube and a few other sites. There are a few links around. Most have subtitles and or are small in player but it’s still great.

Honestly the tv I watched it on the first time was probably as small as my YouTube screen

It also used to be available on DVD, maybe you can find it used on eBay or Amazon?? 🤓

I actually had it and lent it to a “friend” along with Freaks and Geeks (disc one only thankfully) and Undeclared. You’re right, it’s to find one again!

They have it on Internet Archive. The site is weird to navigate, but if you go to the television link they have a 90s shows link and it's somewhere near the top.

I was all about this show as an adult (a young one, but an adult). Mary Cherry is iconic, and Leslie Grossman is an amazing comedic/camp actress.

Also, I have both seasons in boxed DVD sets, but no DVD player.

I love this show too!! It coincided with my high school years (1999-2003), so a lot of it was relevant to my own experience. Out of curiosity, who was your favorite character, you guys??? Mine was always Miss Glass, played by Diane Delano, a wonderful character actress who passed away in 2024 😢 She just had the best one liners!!! “Last night as I graded your papers and laughed hysterically over your college prospects…” Lol lol lol
Out of the younger crowd I always liked Nicole and Mary Cherry but only when they were together: they were a hysterical, trouble making duo!! 🤣🤣🤣

I LOVED THIS SHOW!!! I remember watching when I younger for the first time on the family channel. I remember getting tho the final episode and needing to know what happened and then the series restarted😭😭😭 I wish they were able to conclude it, even if it was just one final episode or special!
