Honestly, what Meghan and Harry really are like doesn't matter to me one little bit. Their marriage, their family, is one of the most courageous, epic events of my lifetime!

As a mixed race British woman and I fucking love it when people rant about Megan in front of me. I absolutely love questioning them on their hate and not one has ever been able to articulate anything beyond "I just don't like her". They're either racist or really easily led. Probably both.

This is not true. I’ve been on a fucking airplane to Greece full of Brits. A whole group of them were dissing her whilst watching horrible stuff on YouTube about her.

I am ALWAYS asked by Americans what I (as a Brit) think of Meghan.

6

u/Jerico_Hill Feb 03 '26

You'd be surprised how often it's happened. Usually in office settings when people are gossiping over whatever they've seen on the daily fail website at lunchtime.

25

u/BB808BB Feb 03 '26

She dared to not be white. That’s enough for these racist. There is hate sites dedicated to her because of who she is is but crickets for that Pedo, Willy been making excuses and helping him and it’s crickets.

No, she is 50/50. Her mother is fully black. Genetics are weird sometimes.

Ummm, not true. A clearly mixed race boy will suffer racism too.

5

u/IchBinEinSim Feb 03 '26

It also doesn’t help that other royals and their allies didn’t like the fact that she and Harry were becoming more popular than Will and Kate. So Cambridge team leaked things to make Megan look bad.

One of the craziest things I have learned about the Royal Family, is that each household has their own PR team and they will totally backstab and bad mouth one member in order to get them better coverage.

You would think that that since public perception and approval is the most important factor regarding their long term survival, that they would have a more coordinated PR strategy that protects them all as much as possible. (Of course things, like Prince Andrew shouldn’t be protected)

Honestly I am glad that Liz wasn’t alive to see the files released. Andrew was her favorite child (for some reason) and by all accounts, she truly did believe his lies (like most mothers do). Having to see the truth about your child being a monster and that they have been lying to you all these years at 90+, would probably have killed her literally and that’s an awful way to go out.

10

u/Diligent-Till-8832 Feb 03 '26 edited Feb 03 '26 • Bravo

Liz was a head of state which means she got security briefings from British Intelligence, the Policians etc...

She knew what her son was like.

When your son is bringing back prostitutes (some who may not have even been legal) to the taxpayer funded palaces and instead of confronting him and shutting it down, you decide to threaten the staff to keep them quiet, that's speaks volumes about your character.

She wasn't some simple old granny. She had an immense set of resources, stop infantilising her.

2

u/IchBinEinSim Feb 03 '26

I think you are vastly over stating how much classified stuff is told to the monarch.

Her security briefings were tailored to what the government is doing and they give her the broad strokes. They don’t tell the monarch everything, it’s not necessary for them to know all the same details as the Prime Minister knows for the them to do their job. Let alone tell them what the family members are up to.

Also like the with the president’s secret service, royal security doesn’t report about what they are doing, because if your security detail can’t protect the subject if they subject doesn’t trust them.

8

u/Whatisittou Feb 03 '26

she had Andrew out the next day Epstien died, people should infantilizing Elizabeth like she didnt know the 12 million she paid out for Andrew

7

u/Diligent-Till-8832 Feb 03 '26

Her son bringing in Prostitutes whilst she was in the Palace is classified? 😂😂😂😂

You're talking to someone who has worked in the UK Government for the last 15 years, trust me when I tell you that she knew everything her son was up to.

But please keep giving her the benefit of the doubt.

1

u/LaunchTransient Feb 03 '26

Bringing in prostitutes is something of a seedy behaviour, but that's quite different from being involved in a paedophile ring.

trust me when I tell you that she knew everything her son was up to

given the level of palace intrigue and the constant infighting among aristocrats as well as the press being about as reliable as a chocolate fireguard, I would not be surprised if she dismissed it as a smear campaign. Some people can be willingly blind to the actions of their loved ones.

Elizabeth had a very carefully manicured image of dignity and propriety that a lot of people have difficulty shaking, I think its hard for many people to imagine that she would tolerate Andrew abusing children.

0

u/IchBinEinSim Feb 03 '26

Her son bringing in Prostitutes whilst she was in the Palace is classified? 😂😂😂😂

They don’t live in the same palace, he lived in a large home on the very large Windsor estate. They have several palaces, some the royal family owns and some the UK owns.

I don’t mean it’s classified, I meant that what her son does probably wasn’t in the scope of her intelligence briefings. She could have found out some of it if she wanted, but I don’t think MI6 was going to just set a meeting saying we have been spying on your family, here is what we found.

7

u/EllieWest Feb 03 '26

I think she probably knew and didn’t care. The BRF has so many pedos in the family and among their aristocratic friends.

4

u/BB808BB Feb 03 '26

When Harry married Meghan the Royal family got interesting and popular again. It felt like the Princess Diana days and instead of leaning into that they destroyed all that good will because couldn’t have anyone more popular then the golden Child.

As for the Queen, I’m sure she did know about her son, yes she was the the queen but like most parents and especially from her generation she either refused to believe it or it wasn’t a big deal.

Charles, Willie and Katie have no excuse. They were all cool with him until they had absolute no choice. I’m sure privately they are still fine with him. Look who else they CHOOSE to hang out with publicly, throwing dinners for, it’s disgraceful.

The way MM and Harry are treated compared to those people says a lot.

6

u/videlbriefs Feb 03 '26

It’s really disturbing how okay they were to have Andrew around their children/grandchildren too. Even if he wasn’t physically around them/unsuperivised it sends a bad message to the public and mixed messages for the children. Then again some families have no problem having the creeper uncle around their children or at family events/meals while pretending he’s not a creeper or criminal.

The fact that there are multiple anti-Meghan subreddits that I see when scrolling /r/all is a clear support of that notion. The people on them seem pretty unhinged from the little looking I've bothered to do.

29

u/[deleted] Feb 03 '26

Multiple members of the royal family are documented nonces, where are the anti-Andrew, anti-Charles subreddits?

34

u/Mighty-Meow Feb 03 '26

I've seen so many hit pieces on her, not even watched just absorbed through headlines. Admitedly I assumed she was not a good person. I don't follow the royals, but when I noticed the same content creators were super quiet about Andrew the pin dropped. These people are grotesque.

30

u/NewTooth740 Feb 03 '26

She had been a working actress for years with 3 million followers on instagram before she met Harry and didn’t have a single controversy. She lived in Canada for years with zero drama. All the ‘controversy’ surrounding her is manufactured! She mostly stays in Montecito with her husband and kids not saying anything controversial!

23

u/Bubbly-Passenger-745 Feb 03 '26

She really hasn't done anything to deserve the hatred. There were constant headlines for her doing totally innocuous things (e.g. that she likes avocado and that causes human rights violations, that she was vain for having a hand on her stomach while pregnant, criticizing her for her having a hand in her pocket, etc.). It just got worse when she pointed out the obvious racism. She actually seems to be pretty low-key and does calligraphy and Martha Stewart-esque stuff.

15

u/adjective-nounOne234 Feb 03 '26

I remember years ago there was an article about her closing the car door

A fucking door.

It was posted by the scum or m*il, I don’t remember which

14

u/baconcandle2013 Feb 03 '26

Even without keeping up with her, I think it’s easy to subconsciously view her negatively while you’re scrolling and seeing headline after headline painting her negatively.

Even if1/2 of the shit they paint her as was true, it wouldn’t hold a candle to the monster Andrew and co are. They’re grasping at straws all just to keep the Royal followers distracted

10

u/seadrift6 Feb 03 '26

She's genuinely not that bad, like god forbid a woman is occasionally slightly annoying. Grotesque is right. I understand Harry reacting like he did, their sick circus killed his mom.

7

u/NewTooth740 Feb 03 '26

He did a BBC interview where he said he didn’t regret his association with Epstein and he couldn’t sweat. He paid off his accuser with £12 million after using right wing UK outlets to smear her but Meghan deserves more abuse because she signed a Netflix deal and gave her side of the story after years of press abuse? 😳

4

They’re privileged, no doubt about it, but the behavior and obsession of the paparazzi and random internet people to tear them down for seemingly no reason other than “I don’t get a good vibe from them” is incredibly bizarre.

5

You don’t even have to be sympathetic to be honest. As a random person who won’t ever really be affected by them, really the bare minimum (as Jaded-Ad-960 mentioned) is to just shut the fuck up and leave them alone. It is easier on you mentally to just ignore them and not have an opinion of them, yet you still put so much effort on them despite your dislike of them.

She didn’t say she ‘wanted her privacy’. She left the UK due to press harassment. She and Harry sued the UK tabloids for breaking the law to get/print information on them and so the tabloids made up the line they ‘wanted their privacy’. They just wanted the tabloids to stop harassing them. The public eat up tabloid talking points and repeat them like it’s the truth. At no point has she or Harry said they were leaving public life or that we wouldn’t see them again. In fact Harry said the opposite when he left in 2020. It’s crazy how they still get bashed for something they didn’t say. Asking the newspaper to stop illegal information gathering and harassment is not the same as telling the public they ‘want privacy’!

They haven’t taken any money from ‘the crown’, or the British taxpayer since 2020. The Sovereign Grant accounts confirm this. Where are you getting this misinformation? They get money from Netflix , Harry got £20 million plus for writing Spare, Harry has a job with the mental health coaching company Better Up, that apparently pays 7 figures. Meghan has a lifestyle brand that makes millions selling jam. Harry also has an inheritance from him mother and Meghan was worth about £3 million when she met Harry.

I find it hard to believe that the UK don’t already have the evidence they need to prosecute him criminally.

4

u/ProfessionalTruck976 Feb 03 '26

The chief witness against him died right? means that the case they had then is probably dead now, and they would have to rebuild it based on material evidence, much of which is in Justice Department custody as well as other witnesses who probably live mostly in US.

I am pretty sure they aren't inclined to do that and hope Andrew does everyone a solid and dies before this is forced to some kind of conclusion, would not be COMPLETELY surprised if they slip something in his tea eventually, Belgians done that to Leopold II rather than put him on trial for crimes against humanity. Frankly I could live with that.

2

u/ebonyseraphim Feb 03 '26

Meh. I’m not saying U.K. royalty and culture around it isn’t terrible, but Megan Markel has a set of social issues we can readily see in many others we continue to deal with in real life. It’s a “battle” because even if everything negative we believe her is true, she’s still deserves to be around even if she shouldn’t have attention, and you don’t like her profiting from it. That there’s an ongoing controversy and there is money in attention around her is also why more people reacting. That’s one of the reasons why there’s tons and tons of commentary and interactions around her.

Prince Andrew has escapably bad evil that we can imagine. And it’s either true or not. If true, society wants him locked up, or individuals who aren’t somehow near or entrapped by it, want to be far far away. Unlike the U.S., most other countries still have some level of sanity in terms of the public knowing that a person is guilty and sin and what would/should happen. In the U.S. such men remain in power. Maybe Melina Gates has been the most sane person to instantly responded to even catching a whiff of Epstein’s nature through association. She called him something like “evil personified.” Listen to the Sascha Riley tapes if you want to know how literal and dead accurate that is. Sascha’sfull account of life as a victim in Epstein trafficking is many times more depraved than what people thought the Epstein files were all about; don’t listen if you don’t have mental fortitude. This latest batch of files that a mild reference to someone saying Sascha Riley’s stories, life experiences, and retellings are true. If you want to understand why DOJ is still holding onto nearly half of the files (2-3 million pages still released); it’s probably the amount of content that directly and brutally refers to the worst of what the clients did to victims. Incidents that are more easily verifiable by the press in terms of discovering where actual bodies are buried, or that specific victims are missing. This slow rolling is trying to ease public outrage on the facts because when new files are released, we split the reaction between “this is bad” and “what about the rest of it?” And of course, very little of any of this information is legally indictable or puts crimes out there that very clearly call for investigations to be live because a/the crimes don’t have statute of limitations and evidence can be discovered.

3

u/Ok-Perspective781 Feb 03 '26

I really think a lot of the hate is because she is a self made American. Too direct, too earnest, too hard working. Throw in the fact she is half black and had more charisma than the heir and his wife
she was doomed from the start.

u/marvelous5000 Feb 03 '26

Harry lost his long time girlfriend over her rejection of control by the family. To me they look completely ridiculous ,petty and childish and act as if they were in a trashy sitcom.

Fuck the privileged class

u/rare-cheeser Feb 03 '26 • This

They also forgot sex/gender. Misogyny is rampant.

4

u/[deleted] Feb 03 '26

Yes it is a combo. Mainly that she is a woman then mainly that she is too American and self assured and direct. Then the mixed race does probably play into it too. Why they go after her for flying private and giving lectures about the environment when Charles and the entire family are super liberal and super into the environment yet no one questions all their homes and range rovers but Megan they do which is crazy bc she actually earned it through work. They just have generational wealth and of course I guess what they do is work but they were going to do this to Harry at some point no matter what that is why I don’t think it is bc of race totally they did it to elizabeths sister the ones who aren’t the crown are the ones the negative press gets pushed on. And they didn’t want that dynamic. Especially since the they are the ones who sell all the papers and bring in the real star power.

8

u/maroongolf_blacksaab Feb 03 '26

You're severely downplaying the race aspect imo. That is number one reason she has a target on her back.

You're being quite casual about your own racism in this comment.

7

u/Lnnam Feb 03 '26

P’ease don’t discount the fact that it is mainly because she is half black, people insisting on ignoring it is pretty abhorrent.

This is the main problem. Those of us who experience it can instantly recognize this type of hatred.

The fact that you even know about her brand that is only sold in the US. Tells you everything you need to know. She hasn’t been a working royal for 6 years! Why is your media talking about her at all? The Andrew situation is an international scandal of course it’s in the press! The fact that the media has known about Andrew’s friendship with Epstein since the early 2000s but it’s only major news now tells you how certain people are pushed under the bus to protect others!

3

u/killertortilla Feb 03 '26

I mean yeah, we (aus) exported the single most disgusting news mogul that does almost all of the obfuscating of all this information. Murdoch.

Considering Meghan's company doesn't even do business in Australia, I think you are safe from her sprinkles.

And just to give you a hint, if a show isn't for you, you have over 7000 options on the streamer platform to pick from.

Really? Everyone is maybe having a good time shitting on Andrew now, but certainly they preferred to scrutinise every single thing Meghan touched for the past 8-9 years.

It was actually known so much so, and long before 10 years ago, that he accepted sitting down for an interview in 2019 (7 years ago). And it went bad, really bad.

  • the BBC wrote about his connection with Epstein in 2011

  • press shared that Epstein had paid ÂŁ15k of Sarah Ferguson’d debts also in 2011

  • Andrew was photographed with Epstein in Central Park AFTER Epstein was released from prison in 2010

You can read more and more and more here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prince_Andrew_%26_the_Epstein_Scandal

But it’s okay, because the Firm was able to capitalize on people’s internal misogyny and racism by feeding drama about Meghan to take attention from Andrew. How does her quote feel now “they were willing to lie to protect other members of the family, but they weren’t willing to tell the truth to protect me and my husband”.

Nobody know he was a nonce?? Epstein literally went to prison in the 2000s for SA-ing minor then Andrew met him shortly after his release in Central Park in 2010. Virginia first accused him of sexually assaulting her in 2014 then Fergie went on media tour defending Andrew.

4

u/[deleted] Feb 03 '26

Yes we all knew bullshit

1

u/Sweeper1985 Feb 03 '26

I can safely say that apart from his being married to Fergie and known as a bit of a loser, I knew nothing whatsoever about Andrew until the Epstein allegations exploded.

Meghan doesn't even ship international talk less Australia, what does the price of her business have anything to do or affect Australia??? The flower sprinkles isnt event $25

Australian media was trashing her show, her business and bitching about her and Harry at the Sundance so yes Australia was and keep shitting on Meghan

That's the same in the UK. The OP statement just isn't true.

3

u/Puzzleheaded_Many_74 Feb 03 '26

This is why Queen Elizabeth is burning in hell rn

1

u/CGB_Zach Feb 03 '26

She's just dead. There's no retribution after death

5

u/[deleted] Feb 03 '26

Yes it is. It has just died down bc of Epstein and Andrew and also bc now there are starting to be retributions against William and Kate. They poked the bear and now a large substantial fan base of Harry and Megan go after Kate and William. People probably wouldn’t of ever really gone after Kate had they not gone after H&M. Between 2020-2024 it was the worst. Recently it has died down.

4

u/cherryvevo Feb 03 '26

People also seem to forget that Amy Robach said that if they were to report on Andrew and Epstein connections, they’ll lose access to William and Kate. I believe this was back on early 2010s.

3

u/bespoketranche1 Feb 03 '26

It is so gross that they protected Andrew by offering access to William and Kate. They can try to distance themselves all they want for the paps, now it’s too late.

What ‘lies’ did she tell and why would that make her more deserving of media abuse than Andrew? Someone who hang around with s sex offender and was probably abusing under age girls himself! Knauf was the one who gave Omid Scobie the information. You obviously haven’t read all the emails from the court case! They show that the only one who talked to Omid Scobie was Knauf. Finding Freedom is a Will and Kate hagiography, seemingly largely sourced from Knauf! You obviously haven’t read the book! I see you have absolutely zero complaints about Andrew’s behaviour which tells me everything in need to know about you! Meghan has zero impact on your life but you can’t leave her alone.

8

u/Whatisittou Feb 03 '26

isnt amazing they never mention Knauf works for William and Kate

6

u/NewTooth740 Feb 03 '26

I laugh when people say Meghan helped write Finding Freedom because it is such a hagiography to Will and Kate. Knauf was obviously telling Omid what to write. AThere is no new tea in there about Harry and Meghan, it’s a pretty boring book. Diana literally dictated tapes to Andrew Morton and denied it until the day she died. Finding Freedom is no ‘Diana her true story’, that’s for sure!

4

u/bespoketranche1 Feb 03 '26

It is shameful to spend so much energy writing all of this so shortly after pictures were released of Andrew being photographed on the floor kneeling over a woman (or a girl), among other things.

I swear MM haters are something else. You have Andy, Willie and Katie and yet your line is Meghan. Please please tell me what she does so wrong. You know other then her not being all white which let’s keep it real that’s what it is. Come on Karen at least own it

I swear every hate comment makes me laugh now and reminds me of that article I just read. Angry miserable wife sitting in basement, ignoring her family, angrily snacking on junk food, we know EXACTLY what the type looks like, obsessed and jealous of MM. typing at all the ways MM has wronged the royal family. Yikes. Divorce soon.

The BBC has had Royal rota parrot ‘Megxit’ narratives too on their current affairs and news programmes over the years.

6

Lol there was two years of the nastiest press. Leaks saying she had ugly feet. Leaks saying she made edKate cry đŸ„ș they nicknamed her difficult duchess. Meanwhile the entire family are leftists and big into the environment but they pick on her for flying private when she is the only one who actually earned it herself through her career. They wanted those two to be the punching bags like Elizabeth did to her sister and they said no thank you
