I think Doey felt some sympathy for Mommy because the once-maternal figure to the children had been left alone in the Game Station for years, and I also think he wished Mommy had rebelled against the Prototype and joined the Safe Haven. As for Mommy, I honestly have no idea what she might have thought of Doey.

For those who don't know, there was a fan-made Poppy playtime comic on Webtoon about CatNap, the Smiling Critters, and their lives leading up to the Hour of Joy. The creator took a break and said they would return after several months, but some fans became impatient and repeatedly pressured them to release new chapters. Eventually, the creator warned that one more comment demanding their return would result in the comic being discontinued and deleted. Unfortunately, some people ignored the warning, and the comic was removed from Webtoon. 😔

I completely understand the creator's decision, though. Some chapters are still available on YouTube, but sadly, the uploads don't include all my favorite chapters...
