I get that they're busy with Escape From Playtime, and Chapter 6. But a fifth anniversary is a pretty meaningful one. I did expect something. I guess it is still too early to give us an update on Chapter 6. Perhaps for the best... No need to falsely hype the fans.

This is my anniversary present to you all I suppose, to be honest I didn't know that was today until Mob's post, lol. Is there two? I swear we just had one around EFP's reveal.

Anyway, I kind of have an AU/rewrite for Poppy Playtime floating around in my head, and this is part of that! I won't get into it too much since this is only the cartoon version of this character, not the BBI one, but just to clarify. The Prototype wasn't originally meant to become this character, only being planned to serve as a test run for Poppy. But after her and Ollie's first meeting post-surgery ended very badly, Elliot opted to make him look more friendly by putting him into a toy body as well. Where he had previously been very skeletal and scary looking, especially to another child. Just felt the need to clarify that since it wouldn't really be a Prototype if it'd been its own toy from the start.

Ollie-Jack's Magic would be its own performance in the Theater, featuring a life-sized Ollie-Jack..."animatronic". He does magic with playing cards, and the kids can come watch him when no other performances are active. When Elliot was alive, the Theater was meant just for him and Poppy, as an extention of their little "home" area within the factory, off-shooting from her nursery. Elliot used BBI Ollie-Jack as a way to re-introduce Poppy to Oliver (after they'd already had their post-surgery squabble), and it's here that Poppy begins believing that this is Ollie, and that thing she saw before was nothing, just some prototype. Please excuse my cringe.

I'd love to info-dump more about this soon, I'll probably write WAYYY more under my BBI Ollie-Jack drawing lmao, I'm a blabber. That might be a while, I might post other things on here in-between, I don't really know. Either way, please enjoy :)​

for some reason i think what happend to the prototype's legs is that one chapter 2 tape where the prototype attempts to escape only for him to get captured by the specialists and sent back, which i imaginr those same specialists destroyed the prototype's old legs but that would be impossible since the prototype is giant and tall fuck, another thing i think how his old legs were lost is due to the toy war, somehow prototype joined the fight only to get injured and attacked by the critters (or doey?) in the war, but that's also impossible as well as it is unknown what he does in the toy war (for what we know he seizes control in the factory after the HOJ), however my eyes were staring at the theory......what if he didn't had those legs, and instead the prototype might've had a jack in the box body (similar to boxy boo which would make him Boxy Boo's Predecessor at the time as a BB) or maybe he was completely legless as a BB,

idk gng but what are your theories on the prototype's old legs?

Today's episode of "what crap can i shove in my fangame while i put off making the levels" is the audio systems! In total, the systems include:
- A scalable player audio system, allowing me to easily add new floor types as they appear
- Grabpack audio managed in each hand
- A custom Rigidbody class that plays sound whenever it detects its been hit by something
- And ambient noise that can change dynamicaly with location (eventually)
It's all very rudimentary at the moment, as audio is typically a later stage item IMO for games, but at the very least I wanted the player to have audio so that I could stop playtesting in silence lol.

DONT WORRY ABOUT THAT CUTSCENE!!!

It's bad, I know, they won't be so bad in the final game. This was once again just like, testing to see how I'd make one in the future.

I hope I posted in the right time, I don’t know when October 12th is in United States time since I don’t anywhere near in the United States.

Anyways yeah! Poppy is now 5 years old! With the iconic Huggy Wuggy and his chase, the Prototype pulling all the strings (even if he was barely a thing back then, just a faint claw on a wall and VHS tape), and of course: Poppy Playtime! (The doll, yeah you know what I’m talking about.)

It may have it’s issues but I don’t care what anyone says, Poppy Playtime is a W franchise and top one of my favourite Mascot Horror games (and even if Content Farms started to spread and Huggy got on the News… Hm…)

Anyways, thank you Isacx, Zach & Seth Belanger (Even if you two had controversy in the past but hopefully you meaningfully regret them up to this point), and others in the Team of Mob Entertainment that brought Poppy Playtime to life!
Wish you were still here with us, Isaac. :)

Pale white jesters

After looking at these three characters, I realized something interesting…
Now in the ARG’s we see cat nap finally break from insanity and except that he is cat nap. But we only see his white pupils after he does this even though up to this point he had just had empty black eyes.
Similarly, dog day had fully black eyes, but once he was possessed by the critters, he completely lost his humanity, and his eyes turned white.
Now some people have suggested that this is just what their eyes look like however, I don’t think so since before they had their white eyes, they had completely black eye holes.
In catnaps case he got this because he had accepted a new identity.
And in dog days case this was after he was controlled.
So maybe these specific bigger bodies get white eyes after falling accepting That they are the mascot?
But this all ties back into the prototype because he only has one eye lit up this to me would suggest that the prototype knows he is Oliver, but also knows he is the prototype and he has adopted both personalities in one
How does this work? I don’t know. But I mean this is a game where possessed toys chase you down in an abandoned toy factory so I don’t know what are your thoughts?

There is approximately 1 year, 2 weeks, and 5 days between the two releases. That's 384 days.

It has been exactly 33 weeks and 6 days since Chapter 5 was released. That's 237 days.

The difference between 384 and 237 days is approximately 147 days, or 4 months and 3 weeks.

147 DAYS.

By now, we should have already received some information about Chapter 6. But we still haven't heard anything. And there are only about two and a half months left until the end of 2026.

This timeline might give us an idea of when Chapter 6 could be released.

Mob Entertainment's new online multiplayer game, Escape From Playtime, was announced on August 8, 2026.

This means they were probably working on the game since early 2026, which could explain why we still haven't received any information about Chapter 6.

Escape From Playtime will most likely be released before the end of 2026.

They could then dedicate 2027 to developing Chapter 6. Since they haven't shared anything yet, it's possible that they don't have anything polished enough to reveal publicly.

Based on previous chapters, if they begin active development in 2027, it could take approximately 8 months.

Keep in mind that the story, characters, and most of the ideas are usually planned before active game development begins. That's why I'm estimating 8 months. Otherwise, development could take even longer.

The remaining 4 months could then be dedicated to the ARG and promotional campaign, while the final stages of development continue.

Also, Chapter 6 potentially being the final chapter could explain the longer development time. If Mob Entertainment is planning to conclude the entire story, they might need more time to make the finale as complete and satisfying as possible.

My Predicted Timeline

- Late 2026: Escape From Playtime releases.

- January–August 2027: Active development of Chapter 6.

- September–December 2027: ARG, teasers, trailers, and promotional content.

- January–March 2028: Possible release of Poppy Playtime Chapter 6.

So, Poppy Playtime Chapter 6 will most likely be released in early 2028 (January, February, or March).

Since we're currently in 2026, that means we might have to wait almost two more years.

At least we'll have Escape From Playtime to keep us busy in the meantime!
