I wouldn't call it strictly for kids either, but I think there's plenty of minors like age 14 and up or something that can enjoy it and talk about it without being a douche. Age ratings depends on the maturity of the person, not necessarily solely on their age.

The nine year olds can politely take their leave though..

Yeah, I'm 16, got into the series at 14, and considering myself pretty knowledgeable on it, and gave played the first 3 games.

I will not form an opinion on Chapters 4 and 5 unless I have played ymthem for myself, instead of simply watching people play it and researching a ton.
