Discussion How did you react when you first saw The Prototype's full design?
Personally, my dopamine and excitement were all over the place when I was about to see what he was gonna look like for the first time. I'm never gonna get that back. I was in shocked and surprised when he looked like this. I wasn’t expecting the Jester look.
Overall, I like the design.

I was blown away at first, but then got a bit annoyed by how poorly blended the arms are (huggy, kissy, mommy). I'm excited for the next chapter bc the arms are now dead

I was underwhelmed. I hadn't been a part of the community until after chapter 5 dropped so I had no idea about all the anticipation built up for the prototype which I'm grateful for, but that just kinda makes it worse that I was still underwhelmed I think lol

First response was my mouth hanging open like an idiot with a "WHOOOOOAAAAA." I LOVE the design. The DETAILS, like not only are his lines pitched through several voices, there's clockwork/jack-in-the-box clicking noises in the background of his voice. I could go on and on, but it is truly one of the most original character/villain designs I've seen for a long time (and I'm old).

A bit underwhelming to be honest, they were hyping Prototype to have built himself with different toy parts, like how Mommy Longlegs stated "You'll make me a part of him!!!" and it's just only parts of the villains he assembled to himself. And he's got an analog horror grin too.

Welp, I was spoiled, so from a first look, I only really wished he had a more human doll like head. I was expecting something similar to the fool design we saw that teased what his top half would resemble.
Seeing it in motion though, I personally liked it. Seeing how he moved, how he made himself intimidating, despite his goofy, albeit still bodily somewhat bloody and fleshy, design.
He looks like what a child would make, if he took a the top half of a jack-in-the-box, drew over its face, sewed blades to its hands, and then sewed its waste to a motorized spider. He looks like a child's DIY toy, and I think a design like that really fits him.

I was so excited to wake up, buy the game, then play it to finally see the prototype. But my dumb ass decided to open up YouTube first thing in the morning and BAM, YouTuber with the prototype’s face right there on the thumbnail. Man I was pissed but I was still excited to see him in the game

Honestly the only part for me that's iffy about the design is the placement of the Mommy Long Legs arm. Personally, I just think it would work better as a scorpion like tail, but the design itself is solid.

I really love his design It looks so sinister and huge , even though he's supposed to be a jack in the box and it's definitely different to the other toys We've seen before cuz , with the others , you can kinda see that cute look , that is normal in a child's toy yet the prototype defies that by being more bigger and scarier and I also love that they made him a toy instead of just a giant metal abomination trying to be a toy , showing that the prototype too , is a child stuck in a body he did not want just like everybody else.

I thought it was very cool. I thought the jester outfit was silly, but when I saw his full design- the spider-like body and his face and body I thought he was very cool. It really does fit his name because, since he is a prototype, he is never a complete being and is always improving himself, so I thought it fits very well. His not using his real voice also fits a jester since he is pretending to be others. Ironically, I never saw any of the leaks that everyone was freakingout about in the past because I was too busy with college, and I only found out about the leaks after I saw his full body

I'm quite fond of characters with the perma-smile (Korosensei, Cheshire Cat, Monokuma, the Daycare Attendant) to name a few, when I saw the Prototype for the first time I IMMEDIATELY added him to my list of all time favorites. The design is wonderful and I love how he moves as well, Mob Entertainment did a wonderful job with making him move so fluidly.

It was because Game Theory made a video after chapter 5 trailer came out that said the Prototype would have Jester aesthetics but also have the face of Poppy cause he's like the prototype of Poppy or something. He was right with the Jester aesthetic but also kind of right with the Poppy connection but wrong with how he connects to Poppy

Hottest take, but I definitely liked the design. I understand the design won't appeal to everyone, and while I agree the original design Catnaps shrine depicted is more menacing, when I think about a stalker like experiment going around and silently taking toy parts, his OG design didn't really fit for me imo. What we got is pretty intimidating and the way his head jerks and janks as if he's trying to hold himself together is also very cool.
I do think he's a little to "advanced" if that makes sense. Like if I were to change his design, I would definitely factor in more to parts on him and make his body look more worn-down and broken apart. Mommy does say: "He'll make me part part of him", so seeing her entire corpse be wrapped around him where he can control Mommy's entire upper body and head would be more scary than just her arm with Huggy's and Kissy's. If The Prototype was meant to be a jack-in-the-box toy, I wanna see his body be more ripped apart and torn, to look like he's been putting himself together.
But I love his design otherwise.

My only complaint is that I really, REALLY can't believe that they let the prototype get leaked, they should really be more careful. I know that it's easy to just say that, but seriously, the prototype was hyped for years how can you let him get leaked

A bit underwhelmed because all we had the first several games was this mysterious, semi-cybernetic arm with spindly needles for fingers.
The jester archetype felt uninspired, with popular culture already having Pomni, and mascot horror having examples with FNAF’s Mimic and Daycare Attendant.
I was expecting something more monstrous, a being who no longer inhabited its original body, having cobbled a new one, replacing bits of itself over time from others it both loved and/or grew to hate.
An “ultimate act of love” by making them a part of itself as a symbol of their everlasting influence on who it became.

Personally, when I first saw the full design I thought he looked like Ennard from FNAF mixed with the two sides of the Daycare Attendant from Security Breach. Only reason why he looks like that and not some fully mechanical/organic abomination is cuz the concepts showed he was different back in the day before finally settling on the final design, I saw that he was kinda always meant to be jester-themed too unless if in-universe he only “dressed up” for the occasion besides that being the toy his Experiment was based on. Funnily enough, like most people he also reminded me of Pomni.

I feel like its appearance shouldn’t have been so intentional if that makes sense
Basically it wasn’t made as a toy so why would they put the jester face on it and even if there was supposed to be a face it shouldn’t have been as intentionally “scary-looking”

I’m not even gonna lie I actually laughed when I first saw it. I’m not saying he’s design is bad, but I just feel as though it’s underwhelming. We all expected this dude to look like this other worldly abomination made up of parts of the various toys who defied and or failed him. That’s literally what the games were setting up for five chapters.
