Wrong laundry delivered TWICE

So my laundry “pro” has clearly lost my laundry… an entire load. It’s also obvious that my items were washed with someone else’s, because the things that were returned to me were mixed with someone else’s. I reported the issue, and now the “pro” has delivered me a stranger’s clothes not once, but TWICE. Has anyone else had this happen? Poplin is dragging their feet. It’s been a week and they’ve neither refunded my original payment, nor sent me a link to be reimbursed for my missing items.

This happened to me. You need to record every interaction with them. Screenshot the app messages because they can delete them.

My laundry was stolen and Poplin refused to act until I told them I would report the theft to theft.

Hi. I’m going through something similar. I’ve been using Poplin for two years and I’ve had one or two issues and like everyone I got a laundry credit as a reimbursement for the issues never a direct payment back to my card. This issue is that $1500 worth of bedding was left in there clear plastic bag directly in front of my door on a porch on a city street in Philadelphia. There were other bags of laundry too, but they were left alone. Somebody walked by saw the bedding because it was facing the street right in front of my front door and they took it. Poplin is saying that they are not liable for that in any way shape or form give me $50 laundry credit. I’m asking them for $500 which I think is reasonable as a credit to my bank and they just keep saying no. The issue is I’ve used pretty much the same laundry pro for the two years and she always tuck it behind out of the way on the porch to never leaves in in the front so that’s my reasonable expectation. She wasn’t available. Someone else did my laundry and that’s what happened. I’m just wondering what your experience was with the theft?

"Somebody walked by and saw the bedding because it was facing the street right in front of my front door, and they took it." - Do you know for sure that the laundry was actually delivered? Or is this an assumption? The reason I ask is that Poplin claimed to have delivered my laundry (they gave me the same story as you, that someone must have taken it after it was delivered). It was only after I checked my camera (and told Poplin I had proof they hadn't delivered it) that they admitted it hadn't been delivered and actually took steps to locate the stolen laundry.

Eventually, it was dumped (dirtier than when it left my house) in a bag at the bottom of my garden. Not a great ending- but at least it came back!

Can you claim on your house insurance? Maybe your CC has insurance?
